Where do I begin... First, I wish I could rate this company 0 of 5 stars; Kirt Montlack, Ltd. is just that deplorable.

That having been stated, I have lived in a Montlack Realty owned building (Kemper Place) for the past year and four months. I have had innumerable power outages, presumably due to faulty circuit breakers (installed by Montlack). The plumbing in this building (and I can only assume in Montlack's other buildings) is absolutely horrible; I can't begin to count the number of times I have been without hot water. Though Montlack Realty claims to provide heat, and for that matter, hot water, said "heat" is centrally controlled and is thus nearly never activated. The noise level, stench, and lack of courtesy of my building co-residents seems to grow more intolerable with each passing day. I have all but given up on attempting to arouse the leasing office to remedy any of these problems, as nearly every attempt I have made has been completely ignored. Additionally, every call I've made to the leasing office, for any of the aforementioned reasons or otherwise, has been met with a level of rudeness and apathy that never ceases to amaze me.

I pay $40.00 monthly to reserve a garage space, primarily for an added sense of security. If I had to estimate, I would guess that the garage door has been jammed wide open for about 25% or 30% of it's existence. Furthermore, when said garage door was vandalized, rendering it irreparable, Kirt Montlack Ltd. decided to fix it (after nearly 3 weeks of it being broken) without notifying the residents who park there, meaning that when I attempted to go to work that day, I could not get out of the garage.

On yet another security note, my first floor apartment was broken into (by the vandals kicking in the window panes) about 3 months ago. After three calls during normal business hours with no response, I finally got a hold of one of the astonishingly rude leasing office employees, who noted my problem. Only after fielding an attempt to procure funding from me to fix the window did it finally get replaced... nearly one whole month later.

Needless to say I have become disillusioned by Kirt Montlack, Ltd. Having signed an 11 month lease which ended July 31st of 2009 (about 4 months ago) I have been living here on a month by month basis ever since. Just today, I turned in a letter of intention to terminate my tenancy. Much to my dismay, but not at all to my surprise, I found myself fielding a claim by a leasing office employee that I entered yet another leasing term on July 31st that binds for another 12 months. Upon review of the lease contract, I noted a section of conspicuous ambiguity: The Terms of Lease. The wording in this section is, or so it would seem, intentionally loosely defined to allow for the leasing office to make just such an attempt on a young, inexperienced, 22 year old guy such as myself. Unfortunately for Montlack Realty, I have an outstanding Lawyer.

I suppose I sound a bit ridiculous at this point... or do I?

Allow me to conclude this lengthy and verbose review with a friendly warning: Kirt Montlack, Ltd. is, without a shred of doubt, the most deplorable, deceiving, apathetic, and disrespectful leasing company I have ever or undoubtedly will ever come in contact with. Do yourself a favor and... well, you get the picture.

I had a massage there a few months back. The lobby looked like my grandmothers living room, out dated furniture. I expected a more modern environment. I didnt like the fact a dog was also in the building not very professional. The massage table smelled very bad as well. I wish i never went there.

Through the internet I ordered 2 furniture pieces from Basista the third 3rd week in September. I was told by the sales person that they would be delivered mid November - plenty of time before Thanksgiving. Today is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I called the delivery company - they have had the pieces for almost 3 weeks but will not be delivering in my state again until the second week in December. I called Basista and they said there is nothing they can do about it! Basista's pricing was only slightly better than local furniture stores - their savings must come from using a slow horse and wagon to make their deliveries!! I will never order from them again - misleading - uncooperative - unhelpful!
