I wanted to finish my degree in the shortest time with all the necessary credits. I was naive and unaware of the consequences that go along in finding a job with a degree from a mediocre school. I was just finishing my military duty and had the opportunity to acquire my BS in Information Systems from CTU. My Associates was honored and I finished my Bachelors in less than two years. I knew I made a mistake when the credits I was earning from the school were not transferable to other state schools and I was maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my entire attendance. I graduated thinking that it was too easy.
Later, I sent out resumes for a year. No job agencies would contact me and I did not get any leads from any organizations wanting to hire me. Companies wanting to sell me Microsoft Certification classes was about it. I was able to land a contract position and later hired on as a full-time employee by making contact with an old friend who helped me get hired as a Software Developer.

There are many scams offering easy, short classes to obtain a degree. If it's too good to be true, it probably is. CTU along with many of these online universities are not offering solid education. CTU does not prepare students for harshly competitive, real working world.

Mayo is, alongside Harvard and Hopkins, the best medical school in the United States. They care for their students, and give them self-guided learning opportunities in order to tailor their medical education to their interests. The opportunities for seeking out mentors is unmatched. As a medical student, you'll have the opportunity to work with some of the world's best in your respective field. In addition, the Mayo philosophy of putting the patient first attracts the doctors who genuinely care about patients. Second to the patients are the medical students and residents. It is doubtful that at other top institutions, the physicians and staff care as much about the patients and students, as does Mayo. Financial aid is remarkable, as each student receives at least a 1/2 tuition scholarship + 5K stipend for away rotations, and international medical trips. Mayo, quite simply, cannot be beat.

Top notch education! The quality of instruction and resources have always exceeded my expectations. I find students to be friendly, bright and helpful. While it is certainly known for its sciences I have found the social sciences to also be superb (despite what other people have said). The city leaves a little to be desired, but the academics certainly make up for it. While everyone here has a little bit of "nerd" in them, people are down to earth and know how to balance their time in the library with other things.

Rowan is a great school! Many people who have previously reviewed the school negatively seem to be focused on the previous negative history of Glassboro College. It has a different name now and is all together a different school. It is known for its Engineering program(one of the top in the United States), Business School, and Education program. Basically, this school offers the education you would get in an Ivy league without the price and you are actually taught by the professors and not TAs! The smaller classroom size makes its a lot easier to focus and doesn't make you seem like you are lost among numbers. Honestly, I was accepted into Rutgers, Princeton, Rowan, and Drexel and I chose Rowan because of the above reasons, and I have NEVER regretted my choice. Also, Glassboro is a complete college town and very laidback. Since the time I've been here, people have stopped going home so much on the weekends because it is becoming a great place to hang out on the weekends to relax. Lastly, the on campus housing is AMAZING and probably the cleanest and newest in comparison to the other colleges I saw. This post is just my opinion, and if you couldn't tell I LOVE it at Rowan! Hope this helps! :)

Last semester I attended DeVry Online (BSEET program). For the most part it has been a positive experience. I had a negative experience with a group assignment for a class. However I emailed my concerns to the professor who actually called me at home on Super Bowl Sunday, and resolved the issue to my satisfaction. So in retrospect really the only negative at this point for me is the cost. It is very expensive, at around $525 per credit hour. However the BSEET program is ABET accredited and you can attend the online classes at your convenience. If you are a full time working adult with a family this is a great option. I would rather be taking classes at a less expensive local school, but my work schedule will not allow that. In the early 90s I attened ITT Tech, Fort Wayne, IN. In my opionion DeVry is a much better school than ITT.

In addition I would like to state that I work with a 1982 DeVry Chicago graduate who has had a successful engineering career.

I might also ad that for me this is about adding the degree to my resume, as I am already employed as an engineer.
