Don't get the appeal. Can't say I've seen many of his movies, mostly because they're not my style. Just like him. Nothing wrong with him as a person (I feel bad that two stars is interpreted as "bad"), I just have no interest in him as an actor.

I am not a Tom Cruise fan. If I'm watching a preview, and he is mentioned as starring, I cross that movie off of the "to watch" list.... HOWEVER when it comes to Vampires, you COULD NOT have cast a better Lestat! Tom was FANTASTIC as the arrogant, rule breaking, "lovely devil" Lestat!

I am not a Tom Cruise fan, especially since he left Nicole Kidmen. SOmehow I feel it took away from him, not to mention respect from his audience. Nor do I find him particulary handsome, either. HOWEVR, I do respect his personality. I find him warm, kind, generous, intelligent, and stable.

Egomaniac but a good actor at times. I loved his role in the Tropic Thunder, best thing he's done in years. He should be placed in more comedic roles.

As far as his acting is concerned, I think he's rather good. For this he got four stars.

Else, he is one of those guys whose faces I cannot like without making an effort, although I perceive them clearly as good-looking.

Tom Cruise is a bad bad man. He forces sex on innocent wombats and has a fetish for baked beans. If you ever get at least 10 feet from him you will actually feel the evil radiating off of his cold, rough skin. Just stay away from him and his movies as the FDA has stated that too much exposure to Tom Cruise will cause diarrhea and frizzy hair.

Tom is one of the best actors to date. Every single movie he acts its hardly forgotten.

Another guy who should be on his knees morning, noon, and night thanking God for putting him in the good old USA. It's a great country when a guy like this, who can't act his way out of a wet paper bag, has been around making millions for as long as he has! Btw, has he been nominated for an Oscar even ONCE?

Fantastic actor, at least at once point in his career. A bit odd in real life, it seems. But Cruise is primarily an actor and it is on his merits as an actor that I will judge him.

Pretty good actor, but he has little man syndrome, can't take a joke, and seems really pathetic.... but that's just what the media has portayed and how I've digested it. Can't say for sure, I don't know the guy.

Heer is a man with a large audience and ego to match. He believes he is a mixture of the roles he has played. He is such a good actor that ther is no true Tom Cruise. Sadly he has bought into the idea that if people come to his movies and believe that they have value; he must too. Good reasoning but poor logic. Charm and talent do not entitle one to present oneself as an intellectu8al guru.
