I remember seeing the video of this album's title song incongruously being played on " Solid Gold" of all things when I was about 12. Very strange, because Solid Gold typically featured big pop and r&b hits, and generally featured mainstream and safe performers. The song was about a werewolf, and the video featured Osbourne clowning around and being transformed into a werewolf. Jake E. Lee wasn't a bad guitarist, but unfortunately for him, he had big shoes to fill with the death of Randy Rhodes the year before. " So Tired" was exactly that- a mediocre orchestrated ballad, a power ballad that probably would have been a huge hit had it come out a few years later during the hair band era. Osbourne's first couple of solo albums were actually better than the last two he put out with Black Sabbath, " Technical Ecstasy" and " Never Say Die," but this, his third studio record, is a rather poor and boring album that would make a fan reminisce about the first six Sabbath albums.

After the tragic death of guitar great Randy Rhoads, Ozzy after recording a live album went out and found Jake E.Lee. Lee, while a quite efficient guitarist could never quite reproduce the Rhoads magic and Bark At the Moon while having its moments paled in comparsion to the greatness of the first two studio albums. This one is not bad, but there aren't many songs that are particularly memorable either with the exception of the title track and perhaps Rock N Roll Rebel.
