I went for Nader last election. Best vote I ever cast. If I had voted for McCain, I would've voted in someone that I largely disagree with. If I had voted for Obama, I would've voted in someone that I largely disagree with, and the fact that he brought along Barfalot Rodham Clinton just solidified the deal for me.

I agree with Victor83 about a third party vote not necessarily being a throw away vote; however, when you read the returns, and your candidate gathers few votes, you feel the futility. I still contend that you feel much better, however.

Never have bought into the conventional theory that voting 3rd party is a "throw away" vote.Voting for the same garbage that continues to screw the nation over...that is a throw-away vote.

If I liked what I was hearing from a third party, I would definitely vote that way. I do not vote party. I vote for the person.

Though I know neither major party candidate will ever have my interests to heart, I also know one of the bums is going to win. Therefore, I try to always vote for the ticket I suspect will do less damage.

I've voted third party before and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. It's sometimes easy to do so, especially when both major parties are running uninspired choices.

These days I'd prefer to vote third party if a decent candidate exists, but if not I'll probably vote Republican.
