This requires more skill than waxing, but is invaluable for prepping surfaces before waxing on show cars.

If you have never used a clay bar on your car, this is going to blow your mind. It is very easy to use, and only takes a few minutes - but yields the most amazing results. The clay bar pulls the dirt (after a regular wash) from the paint and leaves a totally smooth mirror-like finish. I've been using the Mother's version for a few years and each clay bar can last a dozen or so uses before it needs to be replaced - unless you drop it on the ground. The spray is essentially very light soap water, but it provides all the lube you need. I usually add this into the three step process after washing and polishing, but before waxing.

You will simply not belive the before and after difference you will feel when running your fingers across the paint.

Also works great on glass.

This product is all it claims to be and more. It is by far the easiest wax I have ever used! From the ease of application to the removal is by far the simpliest I have ever used. Even down to the smell (cinnamon), it's a joy to use.

I tried this product on a 2005 vehicle. When the car turned one year old it started to feel a bit gritty. In the past I tried polishing compound and that didn't work. I was considering even using rubbing compound to get that smooth finish back. I heard about these clay bars and had nothing to lose. I cannot believe how good it worked! If you've never used this before, you won't be disappointed. I'm not sure if there's long term damage to the paint if you continue to use this product but I will use it over and over again as necessary!

Based on reviews that I had read and my previous positive experiences with Mothers products, I decided to give the Gold Clay Bar Paint system a shot. In just a few short minutes the clay was able to remove the remnants of some nasty bird droppings that I thought had permanently tarnished my paint.

Just as impressive is the performance on well cared-for paint. My paint was still feeling a little rough, even after a fresh coat of wax. A short session with the clay bar system will leave your car show finish smooth. Really.

If you are reading reviews of this product right now, here is my advice: just buy it already!

I've used other clay bars, but Mother's is the one that works best keeping our two cars (2003 & 2006) looking like new. I use a clay bar when the paint starts getting rough, follow it up with Klasse All-in-One and Klasse Sealant. The result is amazing and requires very little effort to keep it that way!
