For someone who was a big fan of Coast when Arthur was at the helm it is painful to tune in and listen to Noory. It's hard to believe that producers chose to go with this guy. He has no in depth knowledge of anything. Lost is the objectivity that came with Art when he had a guest who made some type of outrageous claim. Noory swallows everything thrown at him whole, always making sure he's PC and not offending anybody. At times, when he has an intelligent guest, I've sensed they've been embarrassed at his stupidity. A Numbers Lady? are you kidding me? out and out frauds to anyone with a brain, but treated as a respected scholar by Georgie. So sad.

I listen to Coast to Coast AM usually when I get up at 3:00 AM to get ready for work.

While I agree with a some of the negative comments here, it doesn't mean that George Noory is a terrible radio host, it's just that Art Bell was better. I consider him average and generic.

His biggest fault of course is that he never questions or challenges the assertions of his guests and I usually roll my eyes when the topic of the show is about UFOs, ghosts, etc. I'll only pay attention if the show's topic is about more serious matters.

When Art Bell was hosting, no matter how ridiculous and over the top the topic was, he knew how to keep the audience interested.

George Noory's brain is so small the alien implants are stoop-shouldered.

But seriously, The Official George Noory Sucks Thread has become a landmark on the internet. His defenders there are rare and include a racist, bi-polar schizophrenic who got caught selling stolen merchandise on the internet, and an apparent shemale who brags about torturing animals and is in love with George. Both are mean drunks who slur their typing.

Because of George's enthusiastic, dark fascination with Doomsday, especially 2012, the authorities have been alerted to watch for the formation of a suicide cult among his followers, "The Light Workers." The group is named after Noory's book. The consumer reviews of the book at Amazon are a must-read.

Opinions of George have to be posted in places like this and countless forums across the internet because he screens callers during the program to include only listeners who, to their credit, prove that one doesn't need thumbs to operate a radio. (Art Bell, on the other hand, never screened his callers and the difference was a good 50 IQ points. Maybe 75.)

In the 50 years I've listened to radio, George Noory is the laziest broadcast personality I've ever heard. The thought of the man who ruined one of the very best programs in broadcast history now out and about selling his autograph speaks for itself.

I can't believe we're talking about the same show. He's a great host, far superior to Art Bell, who editorializes and tries to evangelize guests and callers to believe exactly what he does, and criticizes the ones who do not. Sort of out of place on that kind of a show. I listen most nights, especially if I'm driving. My only complaints are sometimes the guests are SO far out that even I can't entertain their beliefs as being remotely possible, and sometimes the topics are too redundant. But, by and large, George rocks!

George has very little knowledge about any of the subjects he deals with. He constantly compares what are supposed to be real life situations with some movie or other that he has seen. He actually believes that something blocked the sun during the dark ages, thus the description "dark". He makes more stupid mistakes than any one person should be allowed. What this comes down to is he has taken a great show and crashed it into the ground.

I am a Shadow Person, so I get really enraged when George talks about my people. Sure, he has no idea what he's talking about. But what really gets me going is when he interrupts one of this guests who is talking about any subject EXCEPT shadow people, and then -- completely out of the blue -- interjects with something like this: "So, do you suppose Shadow People were involved? Arrrggh!

Of course, the guest is flummoxed. Depending on their "suck-up" factor, they will either humor him or mildly disagree. However, no one has every said, "what the hell does THAT have to do with anything, George?" Are his guests diplomats, or are they morons, too?

I've already gone through the phase of posting angry rants toward George Noory for all of the same reasons everyone else has posted here...SO, let me just tactfully say that it would be GREAT if George would just take another job more suited to him and leave the spot open for a host that would do the show justice (NOT Ian Punnett- he is not a good match for the show either even if he is better than Noory).

Art Bell is in fact great. I am new to the late night radio scene (started one year ago), so I never heard Bell until a few back moments in time. BUT, if you've never heard Art Bell do a C2C show, George Noory's conducting of C2C is GREAT compared to the mindless radio and TV/Cable shows out there. However, Bell has too many personal soap operas and is apparently a drama queen and CAN'T OR IS UNWILLING TO DO THE SHOW, therefore, Premier hired Noory. Noory lets the authors he interviews have full reign, he does not, as some posts have said, cut off his guests. The guests always get to blab on and on. Noory steers them to coherence sometimes, pointing them to a cogent topic from their respective books - which he knows about since he is in fact prepared for the show and has obviously read the guest's works. Bell can't handle a job apparently. Noory is very dedicated and gets it. The Bellobots need to get over it. Noory has the show because Bell doesn't care about the listeners enough to keep his personal life together in order to do the show.

This guy is an asshat. If you asked a donut to interview someone, you'd probably get a Noory style interview. I swear this clown is related to GW Bush. I laugh myself to sleep almost nightly at his attempts to probe the depths of his guest's minds. Imagine the poor educated authors that are trying to flog their books and the torture of being interviewed by this git!

Can we all pull together and exsibilate him?

Where does one send criticisms of this man? The producers? Are there any other shows like C2C with a better host/interviewer?  Almost find it hard to believe there is this much contrast in the interviewing skills between Art Bell and this clown. I actually find it funny that they can just replace someone of true quality with a guy like this and act like nothing has changed. What goes up must come down I guess.

George Noory has singlehandedly destroyed one of the few late night shows that I used to listen to religiously. George has absolutely no interviewing skills, no discernable talent and no business being on the air. He regularly mumbles and stutters, seems distracted during the "interview" with the guest and talks over the guest and the callers. I can't even listen anymore and have turned to Phil Hendrie.

Just attempting to listen to Noory has dumbed me down so much I can't even write a review. My god, he is terrible. Does premier not realise the audience is TRYING to listen?

To his credit, (I guess) he has an audience suitable of roles in idiocracy. So, I guess they might be having fun. If the is the majority at this point, I give up. Georges theme song should be "She's not there."

George seems like a nice enough guy - but he does NOT have what it takes to do C2C. He asks the same questions over and over (was it an portal? and angel? a robot? &c) And he doesn't challenge his guest or callers the way Ian Punnett and George Knapp do - and Art Bell certainly did. It all seems so terribly watered down!

I will preface this by saying that I have listened to Art Bell since he was doing political discussions on KDWN in Las Vegas. I used to think his show was great after he transitioned to discussions of the paranormal, and, like many others, I suffered through his constant dramas and absences. But this review isn't about THAT show; it's about the "new" Coast To Coast AM...

I have to agree with those here who say that George is among the worst interviewers they have ever heard. I'm sure he is a perfectly nice guy, but he can't conduct an interview to save his life... George is just NEVER prepared -- and hey, they pay him to be prepared to conduct effective interviews. (Or maybe Premiere will say, "No, we pay him to increase ratings...) He constantly steers guests away from areas that are potentially interesting. When the show goes to break, he is INCAPABLE of returning to the topic previously under discussion, even when that discussion was not complete. I think George is doing his taxes during the show. At least he sounds like it...

It is almost as if he comes in an hour before the show, learns who the guest and the topic is, and then asks a staff member to write down some generic questions. Then, when he's interviewing, he'll interrupt the guest (who is talking about something really interesting), and ask, "So what got you interested in this profession/interest/research/whatever?" Then we never get back to what they were talking about. Sometimes I can hear the frustration in the guest's voice.

His constant refrain has become, over the past several months, "I love it." Well, I wish his listeners and guests loved it. It's like George just can't get to callers soon enough so listener's won't expect anything more from him -- he can pretty much stop talking. Oh, but I got a kick out of it the other night when he was doing a show about oil/alternative fuels and someone asked him what kind of car he drives. I'll paraphrase his response: "Er... I don't like to give that out because someone might follow me. It's American though!" Shoot, what he doesn't want to admit is that it's a big honking Cadillac...

So this show makes it because it's the only game in town -- well, maybe that's an overstatement because there are some very good local/regional early A.M. shows. But C2C is the only *national* show at that hour of the early A.M. because it's still rolling on the head of steam that Art provided. However, if someone came out and syndicated a quality show that actually deals with the paranormal and various conspiracy-related topics, I've got to believe listeners would abandon C2C in droves.

If the good folks at Premiere are happy with the penetration of this show now, they should try getting a good host and they'd see things getting even better.

Somebody finally got to this dick head last night, but he is too stoopid to know it. If you've listened to this dust mop enough times, then you will know that not one night goes by that he doesn't say, "You know...I don't believe in coincidences."

Well, last night Noory was in way over his head. His guest was physicist and writer Leonard Mlodinow who just happens to be co-authoring a book with Stephen Hawkings. Mlodindow's main subject was "randomn events". So, I held my breath and waited and waited and waited...until Noory just couldn't hold it in any longer. It kind of reminded me of the scene from Roger Rabbit, when Judge Doom taps the sing-songie "Shave and a shoeshine...." on the wall...knowing that no Toon can resist ending the line (Two Bits!)

Well, George did it..."confessing" to one of the world's leading physicists that he doesn't believe in coincidences. And I think that Mlodinow was ready for him. His response?

"Well, George, at your age, you SHOULD have some sort of a definite mindset."

Noory's response?

"Let's take some calls."

Like birds and airplanes...

There's something fishy going on when a person so devoid of talent gets to be the host of a national radio talk show. Things like this usually happen when there are monied interests behind the scenes using a shill to promote their ideologies and agendas. Poor George Noory. He probably thinks he's actually "somebody." That's the sad part. One day he'll wake up, realize the joke's been on him, and go back to St. Louis.

I discovered C2C one night about 9 years ago and was so glad to have found alternative radio topics. I was also drawn in by Art's voice and interviewing skills (devil's advocate; challenging opinions and accepted facts; offering his own speculation to counter or support his guest(s)), which prompted me to stay tuned through topics that I had little interest in. Art also handled a variety of topics and didn't seem so "star-struck" as George Noory does. When GN took over, I was skeptical but decided that he deserved a fair chance. Sadly, I've come to agree with all of the criticisms here so far. I turn him off at least 5 nights a week and eagerly await the presence any guest host there is. I cringe to think of him "chatting" with the likes of Michio Kaku, or even Gordon Michael Scallion or Matthew Alper. Apparently, Rollye James will not be returning as a guest host. I like Ian and George Knapp. (Hey, whatever happened to Hilly Rose?) I don't know what can be done, as a listener. Perhaps just stop listening for a while and let the ratings plummet. Then tune in and see if GN is still hosting. Sooner or later, someone will get the point. If people express an interest in the show and its topics, I don't think it's likely that they would cancel C2C altogether, simply its current host.

As a homosexual janitor at a large West Coast University, I have to say that listening to someone as sane and normal as George Noory enrages me for the foul, self abasing, sexually deviant acts I engage in with anonymous men at truck stop washrooms, where I wallow in the man gravy of truckers and balding middle managers hung in completely the opposite manner to which their bulging midriffs are endowed. George's book "Worker in the light", has shown me the error of my sodomous ways, and has made me be a better and cleaner janitor. But I still like to pretend I am a Professor. I blew one once. tries to do the show. Instead of growing with time he is shrinking. It is amazing how quickly he has taken a great program to such a
low level, in reality it is sad because I once loved it. Otherwise it is just great.

I find it amazing that no one in this post has commented on how long the commercial breaks on C2C are. I can remember about 3 yrs ago when George made it a point to say that the commercial breaks would be shortened. Oh my G.... not only have they not been shortened but he added a few more minutes. George usually cuts his interviews 2 to 3 minutes before the top or bottom of the hour for breaks and I`ve checked my watch and I don`t know how many times these breaks would last for 11 to 12 minutes, and you listen to the show because......  you need that Vegas vacation or sese radio???  The only reason late night a.m. radio can get away with this is because when every station you tune to has the same show on you can damn well be sure that fluff propaganda is well on it`s way. And you know that George is all about fluff and not fact.
