i'm itallian and very proud...i love pacino ....deniro...travolta...coppola....and sophia loren...what class they all have...but madonna is sooooo full of her self she makes me ill.......all her money can never buy her class!

Madonna enjoys getting attention by adopting black foreign children. It pisses me off because its all about her and not those children. We got starving under privledged black, white or whatever children here in the U.S. It seems like adopting foreign children is the latest fads for celebrities and celebrity couples (nothing against those foreign children).

The material girl needs some new material.

A talented perfomer that has had way too much popularity and media coverage. She did a good job of convincing multiple generations of little girls to dress and act like sluts. She has sold a lot of records in spite of what I think of her and her music is actually quite good. Very innovative in the music video genre as well.

I assume we are talking about the pop singer here and not trying to start another RIA jihad.

Will the real Madonna stand up?

She was one of the "big 4" of the 1980's, along with Bruce Springsteen, Prince, and MJ. She is not exactly the greatest "artist", but she has outlasted most of her contemporaries in terms of commercial success. One heck of a business woman.

She was very cute, and a decent performer in her early (80s) days. Since then, her obsession with staying in the public eye and 're-inventing' herself every few years has made her increasingly unbearable. Yet despite her 2-decade downhill slide, Madonna still isn't nearly as obnoxious as the macho no-talent rappers and bimbo exhibitionists that pass for pop culture nowadays.

She is great at self promotion. It's too bad that she is a mediocre singer and has a really obnoxious and actually repulsive public persona.

Always pretends to 'not understand' why people get upset with her while pushing the envelope to sell herself instead of experimenting with some phantom idea of art. . .

She is provoking, oversexual, outspoken diva that uses her celebrity status to be heard. I may not agree with certain things that she's done or still doing, but I admire and respect her for being so inovative, daring, and lasting.

Madonna doesn't bother me. She never has. I can hande the fake accent....heck, she lives in England, she's bound to pick up on it a little. I can watch that one stupid movie Far and Away where Tom Cruise has the fake Irish accent....after 2 hours of that nonstop I pick up on it too. There are more annoying people to me.

You have to give her a five, she is reported to now use a very bad english accent.

I don't like her music,or her shameless media tricks-but seeing her ininterviews suprised me with an intelligent and not unlikable woman.

She would have gotten a 5 ten years ago, and she probably would get a 3 in ten years -- she's becoming more responsible as she has become a mother.

Not so much obnoxious as obscene (and past tense).

Her early music was very good when she was young, but in recent years is just bizarre, as is her personality. I don't know, in interviews it just seems like she thinks she's one notch smarter than everyone else, kind of conceited. And what's with the British accent, she's from Michigan.

She is washed up. Her last few albums sucked and don't get me started on The Kiss or Swept Away.

i don't really dislike her, but her speaking voice irritates me. if wes clark wins the democratic nomination, maybe he will reward the material girl for endorsing him by putting her on the ticket.

Ray of Light is quite certainly the best CD I ever bought and Frozen is definitely one of my all time favourite songs, there's such an evocative athmosphere in that ballad! :)
