Simply the best, WordPress rules the blogiverse for content publication and most every other type of blogging activity you could imagine.

First and foremost, i love the look and feel it offers. The hierarchy based approach of writing aticles helps users to really have a quick look of the categories available and select the deisred one. As a blogger also, it is really great to categorise the articles which i write.

Wordpress is the one blogging platform that seems to get it right for almost all levels of users. They offer a free solution for casual publishers with little web knowledge, and also allow their platform to be installed host-side on your own domain. This latter option has allowed them to proliferate throughout the tech and design community as the platform of choice.Additionally, the user experience on their actual CMS is stellar, and it gets better with every release. As far as I can tell, Blogger may be slightly easier on first launch to get a blog running for someone completely unfamiliar with the web, but I think people outgrow it very quickly and are left with a limited platform wishing they'd gone with WordPress. The Bottom Line: At the moment Wordpress is best of breed.

Wordpress is a terrific blogging platform that keeps getting better. I've run a blog about classic bikes for years (www.ebykr.com) using Wordpress and have been very happy.

Compared to blogger, beautiful and a much better experience. Many good options out there, but this is one of the best.

haha i just left feedback saying Wordpress should be added to this list but then dummy me went back and saw it at the fourth spot on the list! Sorry Rateitall. Anyway, wordpress is good, the blogs have a very professional look, however there are a lot of differences across browsers and from my experience the functions don't always work correctly. I guess it depends on how you set it up. Speaking of setup, it is very confusing with all the code and whatnot, so personalization is difficult if you are a novice Internet user. That's really the only negative point, which may or may not be significant depending on what you want to do with your blog.

Wordpress has by far the best network for blogging. If you download the software and host your own blog you lose out on their great network. If you let them host it's free with paid upgrades (if you get really popular you might need to upgrade) but there is no advertising on Wordpress. (Unless you host your own blog, but again you lose out on their network traffic).

#1. Wordpress is Cost-Effective. It's open source, so you can download it for free, install it on your host account, and blog away. I was going to use this platform for multiple blogs, not just one, so I was not looking for a blog system that charged a fee/subscription, as it could get costly. I wanted to own it, not 'rent' it. #2. Wordpress offered: a. Great support & documentation - the documentation is comprehensive, and the support forums are active with users providing intelligent answers to questions. b. A large user community, that came with a host of developers that have developed software, code or scripts (plugins) to make the task more enjoyable and effective. c. A fun blogging experience! If i'm going to be using this system to blog with for as long as i'm going to blog, it had better be fun, right? It offers an intuitive interface, with navigational controls that are so simple to use without a manual. Plus, the publishing speed is fast, as its on my own server, not on Google's, or MSN's, or Typepad's or Movable Type's servers. d. A key distinction between Wordpress and Blogger (which I had first started blogging with), is the "Categories" feature. With Blogger, you had to go into the code to add a category. But with Wordpress, not only is adding Categories super simple and quick, I can tag all my posts into the appropriate Categories too - making my blog well-organized and easy to navigate for my users. Another key distinction that hasn't been mentioned is the BRANDING that you can have with Wordpress blogs. You can use your domain for your blog, and not use a service's domain for your blog URL. So I can have wordpresstutorials.com or wordpresstutorials.com/blog be my blog's URL, instead of wordpresstutorials.blogspot.com or spaces.msn.com/members/wordpresstutorials - you get what I mean? #3. Wordpress offered me "Ownership" of my own blog/s. I wanted to be able to own my own blog, and NOT disappear on me for whatever reason, after I've poured my heart and soul into my blog/s! In summary, Wordpress is free, easy to install, well-supported, has a large user community, is flexible and fun to blog with, and you own it!
