I kike Bill and watch his show sometimes. He can be a bit of a bully on occasion and his ego has gotten huge since he is so popular these days. Like most pop celebs he isn't nearly as smart as he thinks he is. Oh well it is more entertainment than news and he does a good job at covering a pretty broad spectrum of topics.

If you're interviewing somebody and like a dumb bully, you interrupt them when they're not answering what you want, you shouldn't be offered a real journalist job, you're  wasting our time. Then if you try to pound your allmighty truth through our heads like a madman, you're just making sure your enemies will multiply quick.

I agree with him on many issues but I have to admit he is obnoxious and annoying. ever since I found out he was talking sexual with a young woman I look at him in a very different way.

O'Reilly is a windbag and a desperate media whore. His "Shawn Hornbeck must have enjoyed his captivity because he didn't try to escape" is below the belt.

O'Reilly is all about what is right. He calls people out for what they are regardless of political affiliation. What a breath of fresh air that is! I would like to think that an individual like O'Reilly would begin an independent movement among everyday Americans who will break away from the two-party system that is wrecking this country.

Smug might be more accurate, but maybe that's being picky. He does do a lot of thing for charities, and most of his reputation comes from people that don't actually watch his show, or worse people who do and present it incorrectly. Some people seem to forget he is the host of a commentary show, so obviously he is there to express his opinions. What else is he going to do? Express someone elses?

Love those SNL skits of him. They're very realistic. Complete bimbo who wants to provide America with his views and just his views. Doesn't have respect for those who don't agree with him and in return, he isn't very well-respected amongst his colleagues.

Not nearly as obnoxious as the fans who actually believe (and will try to say this with a straight face) that this is 'news'. . .if people had a brain, they'd watch something else or read. . .at least in America you have the right to remain stupid. . .

As obnoxious a public figure as anybody currently working and I do think he deserves to be at the top of this list. Saying he's a straight shooter and the he just speaks his mind, and that is why he is hated by so many, is ridiculous. There is a difference between speaking your mind and regularly taking up the most argumentative position you can think of just for the sake of it. feschelola is right on the money with this one. O'Reilly is simply the most visible of all the cable news anchor/blowhards (Hannity/Colmes, Matthews, Scarborough, Hume, Carlson, Cooper etc.) who all follow the same basic format: incite your guests, get them and the audience angry and pretend to be the moderate, sensible voice in the discussion. If you can't see through this tiresome charade then you are probably watching the best thing for you anyway.

Never found him obnoxious, but understand why some do. He does not mix words, and nowadays, that just intimidates people. Speaking your mind without fear is just not in style anymore. All due to the "pussification of America". I just agree with his call 80% of the time.

Of all time? I'm sure O'Reilly would like to think so, but in the larger scheme of things, he's a relatively minor turd. Self-important and pompous pr**k (and a pervert to boot) who doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to come right out and admit he's a conservative. Started off as a National-Enquirer type TV reporter before he arrogantly and audaciously decided to pontificate on national/international events. More concerned about the celebration of Kwanzaa and rap music than he is about lost lives and billions of dollars squandered every week in Iraq. Wherever he decides to perambulate about on the politcal or cultural landscape, his sheep follow along meekly behind, swallowing and paraphrasing his nuggets of offal as if they were gold. He's shrewder than Rush, but just as reactionary. Likes to pretend he's an "independent", which seems to be a trend amongst the neo-cons. Is his prickly persona real or is it an act? Does anyone really care?

Saw him on Daily Show the other night. Stewart ate him alive, and I don't think O'Reilly even noticed. He said something about Stewar making fun of hurricanes while the entire viewing audience is well aware that he makes fun of the idiots handling crises not the crises themselves. O'Reilly said something like, "you add insult to injury", and Stewart said, "you just add injury". One could see the realization in O'Reilly's eyes that he was out of his league. Guys like O'Reilly always try to discredit the Daily Show as a silly show, but in reality, it's far more informative than their shows could ever dream to be. People watch it just to see "how dumb was the Right today?" And guys on the right try to discredit that by saying things like, "that show made fun of the hurricane" in order to elevate themselves among their sheep followers. It's what they wish to be true. In reality, Stewart or his show NEVER made light of the hurricane, but the handling of the disaster. Guys like O'Reilly are indeed obnoxious and terribly patronizing to boot. Most on the Right are like him - One favors abortion, then one must advocate murdering kids. One makes fun of the handling of a disaster, then one must be grateful for the disaster. One thinks pot should be legalized, then one must think school kids should be like Cheech and Chong. One is against the war, then one must hate the troops. etc etc etc One dislikes christian conservatives and their oblivion, then one must worship the devil etc etc etc. Yes, O'Reilly is obnoxious.

He definietely can be obnoxious at times, no disagreement about that. Sometimes I believe him to be absolutely right in his opinion and commentary, but there are other times I think that he grossly oversimplifies the issues with a definite slant to his way of thinking. One issue, which I believe I have mentioned before in some post or other, is his constant carping about using the National Guard to patrol our borders. Sounds like a good idea on the face of it, but that's where it ends - federalizing the Guard (or even using it as a state asset, if that's legally possible to patrol a national border) means spending a bunch of money to pay the Guardsmen full time, as well as creating a certain amount of chaos in whatever jobs the Guardsmen normally have. The Guard seems to be a catch-all, solve-all panacaea for O'Reilly (patrol the border, use them for hurricane or disaster relief, etc.). Anyway, Bill does do a job at times on his guests (last week Neil Cavuto absolutely nailed him on a couple of issues - it was refreshing to see a small guy cut a big guy (physically) down to size!), although sometiomes his guests really deserve it. O'Reilly, for all of his rudeness and being overbearing does also deprecate himself at times. There are other figures who out-obnoxious O'Reilly.

Though I find O'Reilly does possess some postive traits, he does come off as obnoxious and enjoys reminding his guests and viewers alike of the influence he wields and how much money he makes. I get it Bill, you're rich.

My god, he even argues with people who agree with him, does he not notice, or just have this unbarable urge to argue? He'd probably strike up a debate with himself. And as crazy as he can sound, I wouldn't be surpised if he will one day.
