Umbrellas are more of an pain than anything. I'd rather enjoy the rain. Who cares if you get a wet? Its time to enjoy life and all it offers.

When I used to go to NY a lot in my younger years, I was always losing either my own umbrella or the one my parents "loaned" me. I would meet a friend or friends at a restaurant on Mulberry Street, or at a bar on the Lower East Side, and, when the weather was inclement, I'd leave the umbrella leaning against the wall near the table while we ate, talked, and drank. I'd invariably forget it when we got up to leave, and wouldn't even be aware of its loss until I was next walking about the city and the skies turned threatening. At that point, every Korean shop-keeper would have cheap black umbrellas for sale in front of their stores, and I, of course, would buy one. They generally cost only a few dollars, and were so cheaply made that they weren't going to be able to withstand more than one or 2 rain showers. "Luckily" for me, I guess, I lost them with the same alacrity as I had lost the more expensive versions.

They can be bulky and awkward. They are still usefull tho.

I never owned one so I always remembered, I guess.

I don't forget it because I usually wear a jacket instead.

I live in Vancouver, where it rains 260 out of a possible 365 days a year.

I never forget an umbrella, for the simple reason that I don't own one.

Real Vancouverites don't need no stinkin' umbrellas.....

I don't carry umbrellas, so there's no forgetting to bring one in the first place.

i do this a lot but then I do not care. it is only a bit of rain, I do not care if i get wet. I really do not like carrying an umbrella. so i do not really forget just do not bother.

One time my secretary opened her umbrella in my office, so I had to move everything across town to a new office to avoid bad luck.

On a rainy day, I don't use an umbrella because I wear a rain coat. Rain coats are cool to wear.

Unless it's pouring, I rarely use one anyway. It's such a pain to drag around!

I live in Phoenix. On the rare occasion it does rain, I don't want an umbrella. Let it the rain (ACHOOO) pour down on me.
