I'm just back from a 2 week vacation. First task in the morning - call the Help-line for a password reset.

It is extremely rare that I forget a password, for example I can still remember a password I used around 10 years ago and I've not used it for anything in a long time, I can even remember a certain key for Office 200 Pro

When u are on like 10 different websites (which ALL require a username/password), its bound to happen.
trebon1038 08/10/2008
I did when I used different ones. I used to have one main one that was fairly short so when I had to have longer ones that were required by some places...it was a problem to remember them. Now they have the same....I thought of a longer password with numbers and letters in it.

Doesn't usually happen to me, I remember very well about these things.
Randy3528 08/08/2008
Depends on how often I use it
KellyNeci275 08/06/2008
For some reason I can hold on to those even though I have WAY TOO MANY to memorize
LadyJesusFan77 7 08/05/2008
I have them memorized, but incase there should be any kind of a problem, I do have them in a very secure place.
irishgit 08/05/2008
I just put them on Post-it notes and stick them to the computer monitor....
Is that wrong?
twansalem 08/05/2008
I remember most of my passwords, the problem is remembering which passwords go with which accounts.
Lena 08/05/2008
This only happens to me when some silly company with no real need for heavy security decides it's a good idea to enforce much more secure password conventions. Additionally I'm in an early adopter fight with someone who keeps stealing my default username.

I use a dirty word and I never forget that.
ValkyrieVoice 08/04/2008
That depends on whether or not I'm using my regular password(s). Sometimes I'm just not able to use them, so I have to create/generate a new one and usually that's when things go haywire. When and if that does happen? I, more than likely won't return to the site I had to do it on.

Yay for password retrieval!

We tend to be very creative with usernames and passwords so that it would make it as hard as possible for anyone else to figure them out. And when we finally get it and start using it, all of a sudden, they are so good that even we cannot remember them.

I'm so guilty here. You have no idea how many times I had to click the button that sais"Forgot my password". Do you think I've learned anything?
HelloKitty09 05/10/2006
Thank goodness for password recovery.
kamylienne 03/26/2006
I have about 8 different passwords for various things; somehow, though I don't know how, I keep them all straight. I don't even have to think about which one is which.
numbah16tdhaha 06/28/2005
No. I always use thing I will remember no matter what.
CherrySoda99 06/28/2005
Most of my passwords are the same for a lot of things, just cause it's easier that way. Now, I usualyl do them in themes, with either a movie, or guy that I currently like, or something I'm sure to remember.

That's why I have a desk organizer where I can keep my code words, ID's, passwords, bank account numbers, store ID numbers, and other secret info.

This one really does frustrate me. Between my passwords at work, my computer at home and my ATM, it's hard to keep track. I have several at work that constantly have to be changed and updated for security reasons and if I don't write it down right away, I'll forget it.
