State Farm is the worst insurance company in the world!

They lie to you; they waste your time; they do everything in their power to make sure you are not taken care of and you do not get reminbursed what you are owed for a claim! Their customer service is terrible. You will waste precious time and energy while their reps give you the run around and act unprofessional.

I currently have multiple policies with state farm and plan to cancel and switch them all to another insurance company.

AVOID STATE FARM - You don't need the hassle or the stress of dealing with this company...not to mention the frustration and aggravation!

Worst customer service ever!

I've had their insurance for 2 years and got the renewal for a 3rd year stating that the premium was going up 75%. I called and canceled it. Two weeks later, I found that they had charged my expired credit card for the 3rd year. My wife called them back and the customer "service" rep yelled at her about how we were going to kill our dog if we didn't keep the insurance and that she should get a new policy for herself and keep it a secret from me.

Do not get this insurance unless you want a lot of headaches.

DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE!!! It is a waste of time! We're going on a rampage against this company and posting horrible reviews because they have wasted so much of our time. It's difficult to get the forms submitted and the Vets to get the information filled out. Once you get this information submitted then sheltercare lies and does not pay.

Absolute worst insurance company to deal with ever. I was hit by one of their insured and have been going back and forth with them for weeks to get my car repaired. Their insured was at fault and has admitted it and it was even in the police report. You get nothing but voice mail when calling these people and when you finally are "The Lucky Caller" and reach them they are rude and unprofessional. I have been driving for over 20 years and have never had an at fault accident (knock on wood). I have had 5 Georgia drivers hit me in the last 10 years so I am aware of how insurance claims work. Best in claims has been travelers. Had me in the shop the same day 3 of the 5 times. Currently am with Amica because their rates are lower than Travelers for good drivers. So in short if you are considering going with these incompetent people BEWARE.

Horrible

I was recently in an accident with a Georgia Farm Bureau customer. It was her fault. The people in the claims office were really nice. I assume this is due to the fact that all I wanted was my truck fixed (minor damage). However, things turned nasty quickly when my truck wasn't ready, and my rental car was due to be returned. Then, I found out the repair shop did not receive a check for payment, and I did not either. I was told that if my truck was ready, then the rental needed to be returned. No check no truck. I was told 8 days before that the check was in the mail. The manager got on the phone and was just as hateful as the claims rep. He told me he was extending the rental 3 more days, and he was done. He hung up on me. Do not deal with these people without a lawyer, no matter what!!!

I would not recommend Esurance to anyone. I put in a claim a week ago and have never heard back about my claim. I have made several calls and emailed and no one will talk to me about my claim. I will not be renewing with Esurance.

State farm is a piece of shit. My insurance company is with AAA. Recently I got into a car accident driving down the same road I've been doing for years. One day, this car in front of me, we were all going 43 mph, sped up and tried to maneuver a left lane change. We were both on the right lane. The car, half way changing, suddenly braked, immediately. Therefore to prevent myself from running into him, I had to stop and turn the wheels of my car to the right so my car was diagonal preventing me from hitting him. We were inches apart and my safe maneuver saved me from getting into a car accident. BUT, after my car was completely stopped, 3 secs later I hear a long honk coming from behind me, in the same lane I was in. BAM, the lady behind me slammed into my car.

Now as I riled a claim to States farm, which was her insurance co, they said they will not pay for the damage cuz I violated the cvc or w/e code, the right lane change code. I told them repeatedly that I did not change lanes, even if I were to to prevent my accident, there were no cars so it was obviously her fault. They kept asking me for sure if I knew she was in the same lane as me, and I repeatedly answered YES I TURNED AROUND AFTER THE IMPACT AND SHE WAS IN THE SAME LANE DUH? Well guess what? They still don't agree. They refused to pay for the damage delt to my car, cracked bumper and paint scratched off, and she got to go away, dirt free. Oh btw, my car is 1996 black toyota camery, very old and the paint that was scratched off is VERY noticeable. Her car wasn't even dented! So is this justice?
She ran into my car seconds before I stopped. I get a broken bumper and an accident report on my record, and she goes away WITH NOTHING? WTF IS THIS? FUCK YOU STATES BARN!

btw I'm still battling with them. And I do plan on suing them if this case is not handled properly. Wish me luck...

I have only been a state farm customer for about 5 months, and of course after switching I have a claim. Husband hit a deer. State Farm has been great. I contacted them on Monday, adjustor was at my house on Tuesday and I already have money to do the repairs. I am very impressed. So far so good.

The worst ever !!!

My boyfriend have been insured with progressive for over 10 yrs (auto) five years ago he bought a house and his home insurance is also through progressive. He had perfect driving record never an accident or even any kind of ticket. Always paid on time never a late payment. With that kind of business and commitment with progressive he was treated with the worst customer services when he was involved in an accident that clearly wasn't his fault.

On that day, we were at the market as he was pulling out of his parking space , another car tried to back into the spot and hit my boyfriend car in the rear. This was ours first accident so we both didn't really know what to do. I called progressive told them this was ours first time so please tell me what we should get/do. The person told me to get down the other person insurance, name, number, which i did, she then file our claimed and told us someone will call us and arrange and estimate.

After the accident we went and get an estimate at our car at our normal car service the totally came out to be $800. Also during this time the other car insurance call and ask us what have happen, the first question the claim person asked was IS ANYONE HURT, then he proceed to asked about the accident.

As for Progressive I still remember till this day she asked us "WHY DIDN"T YOU MOVE" ???? How the heck do you MOVE from an accident, how am I supposed to answer this question, first of all it was not ours fault, this is what we get for being a commitment customer for all these years so they can protect the other person WTH ????

Finally, our claim money from the other company came to a total of $600 two hundred less than the estimate. However, they only agree to give us $300 because we didn't have a witness. This was stupid in my part, but when you're in an accident you can think clearly. That is why i told the claim person that this was my first time please tell me what to do. She never told me to get a witness. I called progressive hoping they can help us, they told us there was nothing they can do and it was ours fault for not getting a witness, they didn't investigate, they did nothing so far except for criticizing us. We end up going back to the market , lucky they have a security camera and everything was recorded. We send that tape to the other company and got our $600.

Overall, Progressive did nothing for us , we have to do everything to get the money that we were supposed to get in an accident that was not our fault. After 10 years a house and 2 perfect car records my boyfriend and I are done with progressive.

If you're looking place to burned your money and get shitty services, Progressive is the place for you.

FYI. I'm now insured with the other insurance company .... So far they've been great.

I have been with GA Farm Bureau for 13 years. That is just me. My father worked for them so pretty much my entire family has been with them since the 80's. I have always been super happy with them but I had never had a real problem. Some minor car accidents but nothing huge. Then 3 weeks ago I totaled my van. It was then that I found out what Farm Bureau is really made of and how they treat loyal customers. They no longer have adjusters in my county so I have had to deal with a horrible woman from a neighboring one. She offered me 1/2 of what is owed on my car and told me basically that there is nothing I can do about it. That is "just how they estimate claims". I was told that they do not use any book value to estimate value and even though I had multiple dealers tell me she was off by close to 2000.00, there was still no change in the payment. As soon as all of this is handled I am switching my insurance and so is my family. I also plan on telling every single person I encounter how horrid they have treated me throughout this difficult time. I hope the little that they saved on my claim is worth the money that they will be losing just in premiums. I may not work for them but I can do basic math.
