There is a great atmosphere at Hec Ed. The student section is smart and engaged. Great sightlines in an historic building.

already a great place to watch a basketball game.. the student section is enormous and it is going to be even better this year. the student section has moved seats so there is now room for 1000 students standing on bleachers along the court.

Granted when you're in this place for an ACC contest the atmosphere is great but rating this venue strictly on it's physical merits it's just an average arena at best. I mean come on, backboards suspended from the ceiling!?

averages 133.6 decibels on gameday (according to ABC/ESPN) which is the loudest in the nation and 3.6 decibels louder than a jet engine

The former Cox Arena has some of the best unobstructed sight-lines of any arena I've been in due to its bowl configuation but it can be a bit of a hike back up to the top if you have seats in the lower bowl sections. The arena's open-air concessions concourse is also a refreshingly unique feature. A GREAT place to watch a college basketball game.

I grew up in Dallas and moved to Chicago when I was 18 and Texas Stadium is way better than Soldiers field in Chicago! The cheerleaders are hotter in Texas as well, the team is kind of bad now, but the stadium rocks!

In the middle of nowhere with a disinterested population.

Might as well have built a Polo Field at McMurdo Station...

Very biased reviews on here, I have been in Auburn a year and it is a beautiful town and campus. There is no such thing as ghetto in Auburn. Instead there are 300k and up homes and golf courses. Ranked #1 in nation for golf thanks to Trent Jones courses here. The main drag college street now has every time of place you could want to eat at near the interstate and the downtown area where college street ends up is very nice and possibly even high end. There are several good places to eat and plenty of shopping, especially if you a girl and want girly things. Trailer parks do exsist however they are a good ways from auburn or the stadium and they are all college kids, they are not ghetto. 99 percent of Auburn is very very nice. The stadium is very big, very loud and clean. People get here on WED. to start tailgating. They have huge, non cow, fields for tailgating and they are always packed with good people who are educated in football. Girls are hot to.

They call it Cameron Indoors West for a reason. The seating puts those loud and obnoxious fans right over you and creates the loudest venue ive ever been to. Most underrated venues in college basketball hands down.

There's more to a ball game than great views, ambiance and gourmet food. Admittedly the Coliseum has none of those things. But after going to numerous Giants games across the SF Bay at Pac Bell, I can't tell you how relaxing and nice it was to go to a game at the Coliseum. Easy parking, no lines at the concession stands, you can walk without having to twist and turn your way through the crowds. Tickets are cheaper too. But the best part is that there are fewer distractions so that you can actually focus on the game. Isn't that the point after all? I took my 5 year old to a few games at Pac Bell and all he wanted to do was watch LouSeal, play in the kids areas, run the bases at the wiffle-ball field. At the Coliseum we actually sit in our seats, eat a few dogs, experience the game and enjoy our time together without all the publicity stunt distractions.
