Seems like a puppet to local government. Afraid to publish the real deal because it would harm their rapport with City/County Government.

The kind of newspaper one would expect Aunt Bea to have her advice column in like the Mayberry Times, or the like.

Unfortunate to call something a rag, but it has become nothing more than a few pages of local gossip and some court proceedings. If it wasn't for all the wierdos around the area, they would have anything from the blotter to write about!

Gone are the days when they actually have national news and something of national importance.
Now you might a good recipe for Apple Cobbler or the national record for how DUIs one man can get.

This newspaper is not objective reporting. It taints all sides, but its own ultra conservative side. A one sided newspaper. With the new owners, nonobjective and misreporting has increased. I am going to cancel my subscription it is so biased. I wish I could find information on objective reporting of newspapers. I know the San Diego Uninon-Tribune would be the worst of the worst!

More like the Comical Appeal, it is often funny to read the stuff in this newspaper, although it keeps it semi-interesting.

Nothing much of interest in it, but it did come in handy when I lived in Corpus Christi TX for lining the garage floor, so I could change the oil in my car.

This newspaper among Texas newspapers is certainly better than the lousy Fort Worth Star Telegram but below that of The Dallas Morning News

This paper is not very good. I lived in San Angelo,TX for awhile and finally just quit buying it. Locals call it the "Substandard" Times and for good reason. Not much real news in it. It's major rival up the road The Abilene Reporter from Abilene,TX does a much better job than The San Angelo Standard Times.

Two Stars would really be generous on this one. Fort Worth is a great city in so many, many ways to have such a lousy newspaper. The Sunday edition is the only reason many people buy it to get the TV schedule and the grocery coupons. Much as I like Fort Worth over Dallas I have to admit, The Dallas Morning News has The Star Telegram beat in countless ways. The editorials are so shocking and off the wall in The Star Telegram the paper is nicknamed as the "Startlegram" (the combination of Star and Telegram)

The Rocky Mountain News will put out its final edition tomorrow. It's Colorado's oldest paper and has been around for 150 years, but it is now going out of business.

Newspapers have been a bit slow to react to digital media and are now paying the price.
