I watched the commercials. I read the reviews. I decided to give it a try. As soon as I saw the diameter of the line, I figured I'd made a bad decision. I charged up the battery, and went right for what I figured would be the impossible (edging the driveway). It worked I was more than impressed. Then I went for trimming along the fence and the battery died. An interesting side note: When it dies, It drops dead. There's no gradual weakening. It runs till it quits. I've read since then that Lithium batteries are like that. There was no way I got 45 minutes, so even with the Lithium battery the amount of use time is not impressive. I'd love to see the football field that they went around twice. I'm pretty sure the unit wouldn't make it around a football field once, unless it had already been edged and they were just getting a few blades a different trimmer had missed. Now that I've used it a few times, my lawn is pretty much under control, and I take the trimmer out every third time I cut the lawn, and am able to get the yard done on one battery charge. It's lightweight, and of course no cord, so it's almost fun to use. The biggest disappointment is the automatic feed. It doesn't. But . . . and this is something I discovered quite by accident. The mechanism that's supposed to make it feed automatically can be depressed without removing the spool and You can pull out the line in half inch increments. It's almost as good as automatic feed because I just turn it up and pull out the line as needed. Yep - It's kinda sorta Pretty good.
