Historical Figures

Of the 106 billion (estimated) people who have walked earth since the dawn of the human race, only 10 of them got entangled in history's textbook. Ok, there's a little more than 10, but they're still noteworthy enough for us to know by name. Rate dictators, monarchs, and "bullies," as well as pioneers, explorers, and free thinkers.

Let us ask some questions, if you are in a country which is almost in wars for 100 years, and if you lost almost all educated and young people in these wars, if your country were about to be shared by French, UK, Greeks, Italians, Armenians, Kurds, Arabs, Russians, if all the big powers were looking your territory to share the oil reserves, if your government were trying to transfer all the power to UK, if your government had very high debt burden, if your country literacy rate were only 5 percent, if you have only a few doctors, engineers, matematicians etc, if you were almost importing everything and having no industry, can't even produce a pin, if you have a country only relying to the agriculture, if you don't have any entrepreneur because of your people always made war but trade were in the hand of the minorities, if you don't have any capital to invest, if the religiuos were too dominant in the society, religious people were the most strongest figures, if you can't print your money but rely on a foreign bank, if you don't have a central bank and a treasury, if you don't have the roads for much of the country, no car, rail, air, industry, if women has no right to speak or vote or even counted in the census, and sold like a good, what you could do? Ataturk is a leader of this circumstances, now give me any example of any leader lived in that kind of situation. Let us look what he did. First he started to educate his people by being first teacher, he gave right to elect to the women, he declared that "if the war is not an inevitable necessity it is a crime," he started to built roads with hands of his people there were no machines as today, he imported professors from abroad to give higher education for his people, he changed the letters from arabic to latin to make easier to learn, he shot down many troubled religious fractions, he first declared that most important war is now economic war, he establihed central bank, he started to communicate with all the neighbors of the country, it was contrary what greek people what said today, one of the best collegaus was Greek President Venizelos, best relations between two countries was at that time, he started to build railways, he changed the suits of people because he was thinking that suits also effects people's psychcology, he established two important institutions one for the history one for the language, he was believing that historians should be as objective as the ones who makes the history, he was trying to eliminate the dominance of foreign words from the Turkish, he was always travelled in the country to listen the people. He was the firm believer of the science, what he said "the most real quide is the science" today still creates very big disturbance among religious people. He introduced secular system in the government, what he belived that belief should be personal not instutional, no one should intermediate between man and God. Becasue of this revolutionary action many religious people became the enemy of him. In his governing term he tried to move to multipolitical party regime twice, but religious people immediately provoked the process, he just postponed the idea, because the sociecty were not ready, there were a significant risk of loosing the momentum and turning back to those scolastic periods. For armenians, if you really objective, you would know that it was in 1915 war, which means it was in the first world war, what we are talking about 1922-1938 period.

Jesus gave his life so that we would be saved. His teachings are only of love and peace. The Bible says that He loves all of us, and we only need to accept Him in our heart to be saved. No one is turned away that believes.

The best time to buy life insurance is BEFORE you die!!!
The best time to by medical insurance is BEFORE you get sick!
The best time to acquire an informed decision about the one and only Son of God is BEFORE you meet him!!!!

A CARICATURE is a cartoonish resemblence of a real person. You can detect and recognize the person; but it doesn't really portray the real image of that person!

Most of what passes for knowledge of this one unique man Jesus Christ are CARACITURES; mere impressions passed down by skeptics or the biblically illterate; not the true image protrayed in the divinely inspired Word of God.

My friend... if you haven't studied for Bible for yourself; you owe it to yourself to START today! Start in 1 John, or Mark, John. Pursue relentlelessly to determine it's veracity - it's life or death!

Painters and decorators can enhance the beauty of a building.....
News media can and reporters and increase it's popularity; But.....
with out a builder there is no building!!!!

Scientists, Psychiatrists, and philosphers can enhance our understanding of nature, our minds and our way of thinking; but without the maker there is no mind!!!

Jesus Christ is the maker of all things, without him we have nothing to talk about much less rate. Each one of has an appointment with him. Are you ready?

The greek for word used in scripture is monogenes. He is the one and only Son of the One and Only God. He had no earthly father; He is the only one who had a mother and who's Father was God. (Adam had no mother)

Consider this poem:
Jesus of Nazareth

Without money and arms, conquered more millions than Alexander, Caesar, Mahomet (Mohammed), and Napoleon. Without science and learning, He shed more light on things human and divine than all philosophers and schools combined. Without the eloquence of schools, He spoke words of life such as never were spoken before or since, and produced effects which lie beyond the reach of any orator or poet. Without writing a single line, He has set more pens in motion, and furnished themes for more sermons, orations, discussions, learned volumes, works of art and sweet songs of praise, than the whole army of great men of ancient and modern times.

Born in a manger, and crucified as a malefactor, He now controls the destinies of the civilized world, and rules a spiritual empire which embraces one-third of the inhabitants of the globe.

There never was in this world a life so unpretending, modest, and lowly in its outward form and condition, and yet producing such extraordinary effects upon all ages, nations, and classes of men. The annals of history produce no other example of such complete and astonishing success in spite of the absence of those material, social, literary, and artistic powers and influences which are indispensable to success for a mere man." Philip Schaff

I hope you will consider will these words and give weight to them before it's to late.

Vince.

Julius essentially founds the Roman Imperium, for both good and ill effects on human history. He was also one of the great military leaders, tactically, operationally, and strategically in history. He changed world history in a significant way which puts him in the upper echelons on this list.

He influenced people, yes, but his "Euclidian Geometry" has been classified as basically worthless by modern scientists, especially those on the forefront of scientific fields like physics and quantum mechanics.

Unfortunately suffers from the Caesar complex: he needed more time to establish his influence. Still great, he did influence many but could have done much more given time. He probably could have even accomplished more during his life if he wasn't distracted by Marilyn.

Somebody would have found it eventually. Besides that, who did he influence that would put him ahead of others on this list?

He wasn't in power long enough to have the influence that others on this list had. If given time he could have been more influential. That being said, he did lead the Roman armies to many victories and expanded the Roman boundaries dramatically.
