Easy to install. Good instructions, good online info.
I had some warm water in about 15 minutes.
Just take note- one must hook up the relief valve pipe as well- easy to overlook.

Good unit, simple operation. I'm not paying the bill for the electricity, so have not paid attention to the cost.
Wondering how long it will last, but for the moment quite satisfied with the simplicity and clean design.

I'd read somewhere in a comment that the unit is made in USA-Wrong!
Made in China, like everytning else.

AE 115. Control board failed after 2 years of little use in vacation cabin. Cost to fix is $278. Internet shows many other failures. Poor quality. Do not buy.

They shipped this item faster than they predicted.
I purchased this garden heater after reading many positive reviews about this, and the price was also reasonable.
It required a bit of patience to assemble the parts, but it looked sleek and very good looking with it's staninless steel exterior. We have been using it as often as possible on our patio when it gets chilly in the early evening.
My family is very happy with this heater because it looks nice and spread the warmth evenly around our table.

Bought one of these AE125's from Home Depot only to find out I didn't have sufficient power to run it ... requires 3 separate 40 Amp 2-Pole Circuit Breakers and Six #8 Awg Wires + Ground (Min. 200 Amp Breaker Panel ... I had only one 220 amp circuit available ... not enough juice for this heater ... now I am stuck with unit as Home Depot would not accept returns on water heaters.

I purchased this heater for an island camp that does not have reliable electrical service and to which propane must be carried by hand. Thus high efficiency and reliability is a must. The delivery was fast and heater arrived in good shape. Installation was straight forward. Instructions were fairly clear if you take the time to read them several times carefully. The only drawback I have found is that the tray designed to catch incandescent particles that may fall from the burner seems to have been improperly designed with regard to the supply and output lines the enter and exit the bottom the unit. I have simply positioned a cookie sheet under the unto to serve the same peurpose. No big deal The unit fired right up and has been working reliably since installation.

The only problems I encountered were during installation and were of no fault to the manufacturer.

1) Make sure you have an outlet that can supply a dedicated 15 AMP draw to this appliance. I was fortunate to have a 20 AMP outlet servicing my dishwasher which only draws 7.5 AMP's and decided to share the circuit and have not tripped the breaker once in the past year with this setup.

2) At the time of installation, there was no drain pan small enough to fit under my kitchen sink so I had to fabricate my own out of a plastic storage bin. I have every confidence that the mini water heater will last a long time, but since these devices are too new on the market, there's no telling how long the tank will last before it deteriorates and springs a leak to which you need an external drain.

3) I had to make a trip to a specialty plumber's store in order to route the pressure relief valve into the garbage disposal inlet. These parts are not readily available at Home Depot or Lowe's. I chose to do this in order to protect my cabinets should the thermostat fail (and get stuck to the "on" position) within the unit.

4) The thermostat was set to the lowest setting by the manufacturer and I had to turn it up in order to achieve the desired temperature to which I now get near instant hot water at the tap. The best part is that by the time the 2.5 gal tank has drained all of it's hot water, I get fresh hot water from the main water heater in the garage filling the tank back up.

This is definitely the best alternative solution than buying a tankless system which requires 60AMP+ dedicated electrical that can substantially add the expense of the project. I've outlined the only additional costs above which were about $50 in parts and took about an hour to install.

When they work - great. But I bought two, and 13 months later had to buy a third to replace one that died 1 month out of warranty. Yesterday, the 2nd of the first two purchases died - 19 months run time. The third one, btw, arrived with a dead 'heating' indicatorLED - but the unit made the proper hot water and dealing with the MFR was a pain, so I just kept it. MFR doesn't want to make good on anything, WHEN and IF you can contact them and get an answer. And as a final insult, my electric bill went up about $40 a month since replacing the old reliable tank electric water heater with these technological DEAD gems...gonna buy a nice Reliance or Kenmore tank heater and solar evac tube unit and forget this MADE IN AMERICA BUT I DON'T FUNCTION TRASH!

This water heater seems to be more than enough to run our household. I have it turned down to the lowest settings for temp and water demand, and it is still very hot water coming out. Granted, there are no teenage girls running luxurious showers in this house. Our shower head barely triggers the units demand valve. I watched the flames sizes, as I moved the adjustment from low to high, and it is on very low. Not sure what we would do if it was higher... just melt the faucet or something. Used so little propane in 2 weeks I was amazed.
good price and nice prouduct. instal was a little involved, but that was because I was converting from a tank heater. Otherwise, High quality build and all parts included, except the plumbing I had to change of course.

I hate doing laundry, and folding everything is a nightmare, but I love the smell of clean clothes. Curling up in warm, clean sheets is one of life's simple pleasures. Predicament, indeed.

Speaking of laundry, can someone lend me some quarters?

This is a great unit, it was recommended to me from a friend. However, turns out my electrical is too old and can't handle the power needed without a [...]upgrade to my 100year old house. Also includes the Canadian wiring kit, if buyer is from Canada ([..]value). [...]. thanks, Bryan (BC, Canada).
