While visiting Albuquerque in April 2009 we listened to friends who recommended Taco Sal. Unfortunately, we learned after a horrible meal that the ownership has changed. We were shocked when we bit into our tacos only to be met with gray ground beef mixed with potatoes! All of our beef dishes had the same disgusting gray meat/potato mixture. There was no cheese on the refried beans and cheese was barely visible in the other dishes. We would never eat there again but the one bright spot was the excellent service by our waitress.

I have owned different sports bars for the past eleven years all the while working towards a place like Uptown. I go there on my off nights and also when I have to work. Please come in anytime and tell us what you think and have fun.

Called in my order, quick, fast. Drove up, paid and got great breakfast burritos. Only wish they would serve em all day long.

Horrible service. Food was marginal. When we arrived we tried to use our coupon from the "Entertainment Book" and were advised that they had a new owner who no longer honored them. So basically, they got the benefit of the advertising (getting us there), but then did not honor the coupon.

Secondly, we asked for a box for left-overs near the middle of the meal and the waitress took one that another group of diners had left on a dirty table, inspected it, declared it clean, and gave it to us. It was a box off of a dirty table for our food!!

Finally, they apparently are concerned with the neighboring restaurant's (Flying Star) customers parking in their Lot. So they have signs up that not only says "Krung Thai parking only", but has the name of the bordering restaurant in a circle with a cross through it. They also had signs that said something to the effect of "if you are going to flying star, say goodbye to your car."

We just felt it was extremely rude to have signs like that....completely uncalled for and rude. All-in-all, a very poor experience in Albuquerque, where people are generally very nice!

This Garcia'a is the worst chain in the whole Albuquerque area. The chili tastes canned, flat sopapillas, small beverage glasses and do not have the same specials as all the rest of the Albuqueque Garcia's. The staff is friendly but their people skills do not make up for the below standard food.

This little resteraunt is the best food around. If you like a nice jucie stake or a delicious rack of ribs thin this is the place. If you go here you have to order the bottomless chips and salsa. The chips are thin as paper and the salsa is just right, not to hot not to miald. Oh yeah and also you can eat as manny chips as you want for only like $2.50. I would sugjest getting the babby back ribs. I always go just to fill up on there bottomless chips. Theresteaks art bad eather.

I not only worked at Minato of Japan as a teenager in the 80s, I'm a continual customer as their cuisine and atmosphere is superb. The private tatami rooms embrace your dining experience with romance and tranquility--the food is out of this world. I currently live in Denver, but every trip I make down to Albuquerque includes an evening at Minato of Japan.
