Okay...to bad.

I always had a high opinion of them until Gail started working there.

All the other staff always bent over backward to help allowing me to keep books a little longer if I took several books at the same time and was going to be out of town for several weeks. I could also call and re-rent the books from the due date rather than incur late fees.

Gail will not do any of those things. She is very rigid about the rules, and won't work with Avid Reader members that have been going there 8+ years. I think she is probably fine if you don't ask for anything special (i.e. going that extra mile).

Audible.com has a pretty good deal. I may try them instead.

Firstly, they're not on Harvard anymore. They're on Lomas, a little west of San Mateo.

Since they moved into the larger space, the stock has improved tremendously. Great selection of classic country, jazz, world--they're only lacking in the Rock category, especially when compared to Charley's or Krazy Kat.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and will help you find what you need. prices are very reasonable, and the "Vinyl Boneyard" out back has some real bargains.

All in all, it's my favorite record store in Albuquerque. Not as big as the others, but a great place to browse.

P.S. Closed on Wednesdays. Can't say how annoying it is when I forget that.

I took my bike in for a tune up 42.00. dollars. They called my house and got the ok for a 60.00 repair from my wife that was not really necessary. My wife did not no what was going on and thinking she was doing the right thing she said ok. My shifters were old but worked fine. They took advantage of this situation. In addition I was missing a spoke. I did give them the authorization to replace the spoke. Truing the wheel was part of the tune up so I thought I was going to only pay for the spoke. These thieves charged me 30.00 more dollars for this. I could have bought a new rim for that price. . I was willing to pay reasonable costs for things that came up and needed fixing during the tune up. This shop however used dishonest tactics to inflate their charges. I tried to address my concerns with them and I was told. " people pay more for a tank of gas". I am not sure what the point of that statement was but it was, but it was concerning. I will never use or go to any of the bike worlds again they are all owned by the same person. Never before in getting my bike repaired had I felt like I was dealing with a sleazy car garage. These people managed to do just that.

They are awesome. Any time I have ever needed anything it was right there. It is wonderful when you can find something available for the kids to listen to when they are going to sleep instead of the television.

Rental times are too short. They don't have very many books that are UNabridged. Almost everything I asked for was either out of stock or they didn't have it. I am NOT impressed. :(

Ecellent selection and very friendly and helpful service. They rent books for 40 days and have all the new stuff right when the hardback editions come out. I will definitely go back!

Was a loyal and valued customer, until I walked inside store and heard The owner yelling and cursing at his own employees. I have never heard anyone yelling and screaming like that to ANYONE. Never again will I shop at there store. IT"S SUPPOSED TO BE A RELIGIOUS STORE! GOOD GRACIOUS....
