Hello June,
If this were a test you passed it in flying colors. I was in your store on Saturday June 13, 2009 about 3pm. I ordered three hamburger deluxes with cheese, and water. I know you remember me because you were kind enough to take me to your office to audit the drawer because I believed that I had given you all a $50.00 bill and was given change for a five-dollar bill. You counted all the money and the fifty I said I had given your cashier was not there.
Long story short I owe you and your staff an amends for my inaccurate memory. Yes, I did truly believe I had not spent that fifty but that strangest thing did happen. The day before I was at the gym where I bought a protein supplement it cost $44.95. The change given me back from that was $5.05 cents. Since that bill would not stay in my money clip I used the nickel to fold it up with and hold it in the money clip. This memory had completely left my mind when I was at your store and that is embarrassing, and concerning. When buying food I incorrectly thought I still had that one new colored $50 that was in my pocket it had been there all week and I had really had no intention of breaking it.
It was not until later that night that I remembered where I had spent that money. I feel so much like a fool it is difficult to put into words. I just want to say to you that you are an honest tactful and caring man and a better leader of your employees. You handled me considerately even though I was in the wrong and you did not lose your cool. I cannot imagine the public that you have to deal with day in and day out. I know my persistence at dealing with this must have un nerved you a little bit. But you did not waiver in defense of your employees and your store. I will also pass this along to the 800 number people about you and your employees. Thank you for the good food and no you have not lost a customer if anything I will be back more often to try and make it up to you. Thank you sir!

Great BBQ in a totally informal environment. Big tables and no plates make for messy eating, but the BBQ is outstanding. One of the top BBQ stops in Austin, a good choice for take-out, too.

This restaurant has been shown me by locals, while being in Austin in business trip. Since the first experience, it became my favorite in the area. After complicated troubleshooting, there was nothing better than relax with excellent food at pleasant athmosphere. The restaurant special - Baby-Back Ribs, prepared by a special "knife-and-fork" technology. You need not get your fingers dirty to enjoy the magnificant taste. It is the best place for Ribs - a must for those who understand!

Roppolo's is crap, drunk man's, overpriced pizza. The ingredients all seem slapped together, and it's ultra greasy. And don't get me started on $4.50 for a slice of pepperoni. You are much better off getting a street taco.

This is a UT hangout, is open 24 hours, and is known for breakfast food.

I went here really late and wasn't all that impressed with the food or service. However, the restaurant itself is cool - it's a converted house. My Austin friends tell me that Pluckers is a better choice for late night food.

You go to Juan in a Million for the breakfast tacos. They're massive and cheap. The flagship taco is the Don Juan, which is potatoes, bacon, eggs, and cheeze on a flour tortilla. It's a bomb - one $3.60 taco will stuff you to the gills.

Juan in a Million is in East Austin, but only a few minutes from downtown. Worth the trip.

Fantastic. Just a half a block away from the Austin Conference Center, but it feels like you have taken a trip into the country. It's old wooden building with a wood burning stove - the place used to be a blacksmith or something.

The reason to go here is because of the bbqd meats. I had the pork loin and it was amazing. There is warmed bbq sauce in bottles to make the meat slide down faster, and you can get a baked pototo on the side. There are tubs of ice with texas beers floating in them, so you can wash down your bbq with an ice cold beer.

Highly recommended.

Cool hipster coffee shop with all outdoor seating and free wifi. It feels like a beach coffee shop, like something you would find on Venice Beach. There's a tattoo parlor across the way, and lots of band flyers everywhere.
