?I have been going to Smilerite for about 15 years now. I started going there because it was convenient and continued because I am a creature of habit. I never really had any issues or complaints except for last year the dentist I saw was not very gentle. I had alot of work done on my mouth and I vowed to never see her again. For the life of me I do not remember her name so for that I apologize but I can tell you that Dr. Sommerville is great! He cleans both of my childrens teeth and I will only go see him hence forthe.

I did go and see Dr. Miles for my son once when Dr. Sommerville had gotten tied up with a patient and I can tell you she was quite abbrassive and quite rude in my opnion. So I guess you ask why go there....well, Dr. Sommerville is the answer! As long as I see him and only him I am just fine. The receptionist and the dental assisstants are all quite nice as well.

I really liked this therapy office. The staff at Physical Therapy first is very professional and the therapists seem to be familiar with a variety of techniques and treatments and will customize treatment to fit a patient's needs. They accept auto and worker's comp cases, whereas most other physical therapists that take that kind of insurance are not nearly as professional and use more of an assembly-line approach to therapy. Best of all this office is located in Mount Vernon, close to downtown and easy to get to from I-95 or I-83. The only issue I had was parking, since the only available parking is street parking. All around, a great rehab experience.

I loved it here! My therapist was 'up' on all of the newest and most effective treatment options out there. I spent most of my appointment with my therapist rather than being handed off to a tech after 10 minutes (which has happened to me in the past at other places). The entire staff at Physical Therapy First seemed genuinely interested in not only my recovery but also my overall health and well-being. They were very supportive in my quest for a quick recovery to get back to my regular day to day activities.

I was a regular patient of Dr. Maffezzoli's for several years. His bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. For example, I was starting to get signs and symptoms of fibromyalgia (1995); but, he was unable to determine what the cause of my pain/stiffness was coming from. I received a book about fibromyalgia from a home health care nurse that worked for the same agency I worked for. She had seen me in a meeting squirming in my chair because I was in so much pain. After a while, she asked me about my symptoms. She then let me borrow a book about fibromyalgia and make a copy for Dr. Maffezzoli. When I gave the copy to him, he looked at the cover and then flung it onto his desk, stating "I don't think this is what you have." I was visiting his office 2-3 times per week because of the pain. When I asked for something for the pain, he stated that he "does not prescribe narcotics." I was very offended. Shortly after this, I was sitting at home and I got a cramp in my foot. All of my toes were holding in an up position. I couldn't put on my shoes. This lasted for about 4 days before I contacted his office and made an appointment. When he saw me, all he did was laugh at my feet and sent me home. I was in a lot of pain...there are other examples I could give, but I think that is sufficient for the rating I have given.

Went to the Hospital with Chest and Legs pains one day. Treated like a drug addict. They gave me some pain meds and did an x-ray. Thats it. Woke me up from pain meds they gave me and basically pushed me out the door. Said my test came back negetive. Went to Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA the next day and they discovered 2 blod clots with-in the hour. Left leg and Lung. I almost died. Should sue the hell outta this shame of a hospital.

There is only 2 reasons why I love this place. The nurses are awsome and Dr. Marx is the Greatest. The main thing that sucks is trying to find a parking spot.

Excellent, truly caring and very knowledgable dr; great bedside manner, progressive with treatment. I saw him after losing my first baby at 32 wks, and for two subsequent pregnancies. Can't say enough about him!
