Not just classic rock, but the most over played classic rock there is. I guess they only play the "hits", but not every hit stands the test of time. They still play Freebird daily! Also the home of Bob & Tom, which has to be the worst morning show that I've ever heard.

WRNR is my favorite station in the area. I prefer Alt-Rock and the early 80's / late 70's Modern Rock stuff and WRNR plays it all. The only thing that I don't like on the station is the acoustic folk type stuff. They may be in Annapolis, but the transmitter is in Grasonville on the Eastern Shore, so that explains the not so good signal going west of Annapolis...

I have nothing against Latino music, but putting it on 99.1 was a bad idea. The Latino population is very small in Maryland, and the only significant population is in Northern Virginia. 99.1 transmits from Crofton MD and covers Baltimore very well, as well as Annapolis, and the DC area, except Northern Virgina, where the signal isn't great. "El Zol" should be on one of CBS's DC stations and not 99.1, which completely abandoned their coverage area with that format.

I tune in to to listen to music. The personalities are there to play the music. I don't tune in to
listen to movie reviews or rants about personal hygiene. Who cares about tv programs like
Survivor or American Idol. I don't watch them,so i don't want my drive time filled with grief
about those programs. Why can't WPOC just play music? And fire the program director. Mix
the play list. Not the same song every hour. They need to remember that the next preset
on my eadios is a certain country music station in the Washington Dc market. often times i
forget to tune back to POC.

I'm not much of a fan of easy listening music. WLIF plays the softest of soft rock, and a ton of cheesy love songs. This definitely isn't a station I stop on.

I agree with Kamy that WPOC focuses mostly on pop-country. Baltimore doesn't strike me as a country town, but WPOC is the most listened to station in the area. I don't tune in for the personalities, but its on my group of secondary presets for when I want a bit of country.

105.7 has been a struggling station for a long time. They seem to switch up their format every year or so, and nothing seems to work. They still use the HFS call letters, but they are currently a sports talk station. Most of the stuff on the station now is pretty boring. I love Baltimore sports, but most of the town's sports media personalities are dreadful. Kirk and Mark, who left 98 Rock several years ago, are now out of a job. They didn't stick with the station during the format shift.

98 Rock truly represents Baltimore. The personalities on the show are very much into the local community, and the music is good ol' hard rock that the Baltimore working man loves. They mix a good amount of older rock with new stuff. The signal is great coming from 98 Rock, and I've picked it up from Northern Virginia all the way up into south Jersey. 98 Rock will always stay one of my main presets as long as I'm in the area.
