When attending the LVN program I would suggest that your get your CNA certificate after completing the first quarter. Get a full or part time job being a CNA. This way you will have the job experience you need when you graduate. One of the things the LVN program does not tell you is that you need 1 year experience to get a job after you graduate at most places. So how do you get a job without the experience?
Also, the school says that they offer Career Services, but don't count on them. I have given so many excuses as to why they can help me it is ridiculous. I have heard that they are moving offices, or their computer crashed, or email is down, or we don't have a scanner to email that to you. They don't keep track of where the supposedly send out the resumes or even know which resume they send out. They had 3 resumes on file for me and could not tell me where they sent my resume. I never received a call from where they supposedly sent my resume. I was never given or offered any other services like they say on their website. I heard that they are looking for a director for that department. I wonder if that is why they are so messed up. Including not having a job fair since 7/08 in Anaheim.
