Exactly how hard is it to manage your account? Last time I checked customers were the one making the purchases; not the bank. This is coming from someone who has banked with this bank for a long time, and I must say, the complaints.. well, some seem slightly logical.. but last time i checked when i was standing in line there wasnt anyone from Citizens forcing me to make my purchases.
I think that entrusting a bank to provide safekeeping of my money is a normal thing. However- I as an adult, and as a customer, must take RESPONSIBILITY of my account. Its kind of like I AM the director of my financial well being- not the bank. EVERY time ive made transactions ive either A) kept the recipt and included it in the withdrawls, or B) written it in my check register... which happened to be provided to me FREE OF CHARGE.
Also its my responsibility to read my disclosures as a customer. How many of you just sign these things and not even read the terms and conditions ? As far as I am concerned- they could be asking you to sign the rights over of your arm, leg, or first born.. and if you dont read it- whos fault is it? That's right, not the banks fault. Its not like you can open the account and not even sign and not recieve papers on it.. come on.. you people are getting angry because of overdraft fees for items that you purchased.
Perhaps the bank shouldnt keep paying your items as courtesy- I mean after all, if they didnt who would? I'd say its a good case of fraud right there, you "paying" for merchandise / goods that you know you dont have - go ahead.. keep doing it. Im sure the court would love to hear you explain how you swindled merchants out of their money..
As we all know America's economy, along with the rest of the worlds economy is going straight down the $hitter. And people are jumping at anything that has the word- " Free" or phrase " No fee" attached to it, what they neglect to see in their fit of madness thinking, "this is the greatest thing ever," are the terms and conditions. What have your parents taught you? Much less your grandparents? Nothing in life is free..
I get tired of waiting behind you to make my deposits and withdrawls. I get sick and tired of going to the bank and hearing you get upset... and then turn around to me and act like i should agree with you. Like the man who did the other day when I went to make my deposit at the Penn Center location. " Im really gonna give them a piece of my mind.. this citizens bank is outrageous dont you agree. the fees are rediculous i mean i cant even buy a donut without gettin a fee" I looked at him and responded.. " looks like you could use a lesson in basic math more than you need a donut. why dont you just grow a pair and admit for once youre wrong... its okay i wont laugh at you."
