This man uses witchcraft. He extorts money from innocent victims who unknowingly are charmed by his illusions. He isn't repentant for his deeds and no unrepentant sinner goes to heaven. How can he learn repentance if he is not rebuked. Peter Poppoff is headed for hell fire unless of course he repents and gives back all that he's taken. Which is probably as likely as hell freezing over.

This review is based on over 4 years experience with IMVU Inc. My standing with IMVU is as a developer, customer, and parent. The most recent activity I have viewed that impacts all levels of my experience as a user is what I will review here.

The sheer amount of neglect and direct disregard for their users needs is only surpassed by the incredibly disconcerting customer service. I have logged customer support requests for several reasons and some have yet to be responded to. There are three still pending from two years ago. One more recent customer service request I made was in regards to their Daily Outfit Challenge in which a naked avatar was on the second page. It took 6 weeks for them to respond and the only comment made to me regarding the matter was that it was being looked into. Six weeks is a great deal of time for small children to view such nudity.

IMVU claims to be in Beta yet has been open to the public for more than 5 years. This is a clear misrepresentation to avoid potential charges by users in regard to their false claims pertaining to their services.

Recently, November 2009, IMVU imposed a fraudulent program without notifying any of their user base as to the intentions they had. They added products, which they chose from their business partners, and propagated them to wishlists of those users that had no products on their lists. They hid this fact from the users to prevent them from removing the said business partners products. Many users purchased these items with IMVU Credits, the IMVU virtual currency which is purchased with real world money, for friends and relatives not realizing that the user did not wish to own those products as the wishlist indicated that the user had chosen the items.

This was a deliberate action as they indicated 4 days after the fact that it was an intentional move to 'avoid anyone not having a wishlist'. The products are poorly made and several of the products on the list are NOT general audience as they go against the very Virtual Goods Policy that IMVU claims to enforce. There was no way to contact anyone at IMVU Inc. as they implemented this program on a weekend, which most of these types of things they do, so that nothing could be dealt with until the following week. This is a consistent method that IMVU Inc. uses to ensure that they receive at least a few days of monetary income from programs they know will upset their users.

These products have now been forced to a new location with a tag that states they are recommended by IMVU, however, they have not removed the products that violate their own Virtual Goods Policy.

To add to this issue, only specific products are on this list and not rotated between the hundreds of other developers on the IMVU website which create content for them. This is a corporate monopoly which misrepresents the goods available in the product catalogue. These products can also be purchased repeatedly as, although the product may already be in the inventory of the user it was purchased for it is replaced repeatedly until the recipient added other products to their list. Many of the complaints made in the IMVU forums regarding this matter were that not only were users receiving items they did not wish to own but also receiving it multiple times. Clothing items cannot be used more than once at a time so this means that any additional purchases of said products only manage to waste the givers money.

Approximately a year ago another such program was implemented where IMVU Inc. changed the retail pricing for new users without informing them or anyone else that they would be doing so. The fluctuation they used could charge someone anywhere from 300% above or below the actual retail price of the product the new user was viewing in the catalogue. They did this without any warning to anyone and claimed later it was a test to see how new users would react to varying prices. They did not warn the new users of this fact, allowing them to choose for themselves if they wished to participate in such a 'test'. They did this as a blind test which caused many new users to not return to the site due to the sheer cost of purchasing the IMVU credits with real world money to afford the products they wished to own. This hurt the user based development community financially as well as implied that many of the user developers were grossly over charging for their products which prevented many of them from getting future sales from the new users signing up.

Over the past year the sheer amount of users that have had their accounts disabled without explanation as to why has been beyond comprehension. When asked for information as to what caused their account to be disabled it can take weeks, even months, to get a response from customer service, when a reply is actually given. There were many that were improperly disabled due to a 'bug' in their programming which falsely indicated that the user in question either posted or approved an 'Unfit for IMVU' (otherwise known as a UFI) product to the catalogue. There were no apologies or restitution made to those that lost business and products due to this incident. Unfortunately, this activity is still going on to this day.

I do not recommend IMVU to anyone, of any age. The issues I have mentioned here are only a small portion of the poor business practices shown by IMVU Inc. over the years I have been a member.

As often as possible, I listen to both his radio and TV show. I'm definitely an Ed Head, and believe he serves an extremely important role. He's an alpha male who's unafraid to express liberal ideas without having ignorant, insecure right wing males question his masculinity. That makes it OK for other men to broaden their perspectives.

In my opinion, one of the banes of our shoot-first-think-later culture is the pathetic way so many men mindlessly cling to obsolete ways of thinking about what it means to be a "real man." I, for one, am sick of it, which is why I love Ed!

This is one of the worst bars I've been in San Francisco. Dirty, weird crowd and more expensive than any other bar in the Mission. An Anchor Steam for $5, I am pretty sure there was a premium on that price for not being part of the regular audience.

All kidding aside, it looks like a very large portion of credit card holders aren't going to have much of a choice in this matter, as major credit card companies have begun reducing and denying credit to card holders. In the wake of the sub-prime crisis and as the focus on giving credit is shifting to Asia, many people are discovering credit shock when they open their mail...even when they are out there in the market, trying to make a purchase. 50% (up from 20%) of card holders have been hit (reduced or denied) for various reasons, from "getting caught" making purchases along side poor risks at a WalMart, to reducing lofty balances, to the neighborhoods they live in. Most any excuse will do This is a giant thread being pulled out of the fabric of free enterprise in the U.S., as many small companies relying on their credit limit to keep things up and running are being forced to scramble, denied access to the goods they need to run their businesses and, many times, down-sizing, or just shutting their doors. If a company with, let's say, a $100K line of credit is doing well and reduces its balance to, let's say, $10K, that most likely will be their new limit. They're marooned. On an individual level, a person with a credit limit of, let's say, $10K and an average balance of $3K is using 30% of their limit. If their cap is lowered to $5K, their average balance is now 60% and their credit score takes a major hit.

And where can this be traced back to? The crooks at Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and anyone who supported the sub-prime loans and the "cast-our-fate-to-the-wind" legislation...anyone one who thought it was politically correct to make sure that anyone who wanted to live in a house should be able to, regardless of ability, regardless of citizenship and regardless of the consequences. Millions of people were given a fish, but no one was taught how to go fishing.

And while the fabric of this country is melting away, Obi Bar Kenobi is throwing the most lavish State dinner in the history of America. Just what this country needs to be up-lifted: to witness 3 hours of D.C. magic and enchantment in 4in x 4in video clips. Where the fuck does this scoundrel get off spending oodles of tax payers dollars to honor the Prime Minister of India when his country is in shambles? Or is that what he's really celebrating? Yah, Ridge is pissed today...

Beware! Scam from the start. Initial estimate for me to move from Louisiana to Oklahoma was $2,700. On the day they arrived they ammended it to $5,500. After getting the furnature loaded and locked on the trailer, they then advised me it would be $9,900! I had to close on the house I was moving out of the next day, so they held me "hostage". When the stuff got delivered, I realized why they are called Hurricane. Everything was destroyed! I took pictures, filed a claim. Estimated damages were at $5,000. They offered me $375 to call it even. They have NOT heard the last of me. The Better Business has dropped them. I'm contacting the Department of Transportation next. Take my word on this.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I have to say no considering the fact that our credit scores are pretty much based on our spending and payment of these cards! I don't like it and hate using credit as a means to boost my score! Being a Resident I have to gain a reasonable credit (like most.)before I can even think about a house and so it can put you into a slippery slope! Allot of people fall into the credit crunch trying to better themselves and land themselves in debt, just what these companies want and desire!!!!! I'm just thankful for the government stepping in and putting a cap on!!! I think this will help but I feel that they still have you hand over foot! I'm just glad I don't have many!!!!!

Det-Pep MADE the show worth watching - consistently and QUIETLY going above and beyond the call of duty - helping and supporting families and victims alike. Maintaining professionalism as well as a sense of humor. Thinking on his feet to manipulate the best outcome for the greater good. Grievously underestimated and more deserving in being recognized for tireless efforts to help those who need it. A shame in this day and age to see REALLY why he is not on Season 2 of Manhunters on A&E. Everyone will have to answer for their actions eventually. Keep doing what you do Det Pep - ALL THINGS COME TO LIGHT!

Pace is a great place to study. I am enjoying it a lot here, taking a lot of challenging yet exciting classes that I do look forward to. Social life is absolutely amazing, in my opinion. Either that or my freshman year is a very lucky year because everyone here is extremely friendly and nice. There are some people who you might not like, but there are also a lot of people you will really get along with, no matter what type of person you are. I love it here, and I don't regret for one second the decision I made for coming to this university.

Over 1 year after signing up with DirecTV for a one year obligation to that service, we decided to upgrade 1 of our 4 set-top boxes from a standard box to an HDTV box. Unknown to us, when we did this (online, setbox delivered via FedEx) we later found that our obligation for ALL services and ALL set-top boxes was EXTENDED for TWO years. About 6 months later we were offered an outstanding deal to switch to Verizon FiOS and decided to take it. When we called to cancel services with DirecTV, we were told that we had to pay a $320.00 penalty for early cancellation. This is when I learned we had inadvertently extended our obligation. This was bad enough, but DirecTV took our debit card that we originally opened the account with and withdrew the funds from our account that night. We have always paid our bills with checks, always on time, never an exception... they just decided to take our money. We were simply very lucky to not have any checks bounce. Further, we never authorized electronic funds transfer for payments.

Then, adding insult to injury, we had a $71.00 credit balance for an overpayment on our account after cancelling services. We received an invoice showing this credit in October. In November we receive a refund check for $24.00, followed by a November invoice showing $47.00 of charges. When I inquired about these charges, I was told they were MISSED charges, over ONE YEAR ago, that they just found.

Unbelievable! We are good, honest people, and we take care of our obligations. My newest obligation is to make sure that I can influence as many people as I can for the rest of my life to NOT do business with DirecTV.

BTW... the DirecTV service is terrible whenever the weather becomes anything but sunshine with no wind. The move to FiOS is the best we ever made and the support services there are excellent.

Thanks for taking the time to read our thoughts.

Considering I'm friends with all of the Milwaukee Brewers, I can't imagine being disappointed in a friendship. I'm also 'friends' with the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders. Life is good.
