my sales associate was named francisco. he was very personable and got me close enough to the deal i was seeking. at one point a manager came to me with a counter offer that was more than the listed price by 200 dollars. i immediately pointed out their clerical error, and my salesman francisco set his manager straight. bottom line, sale price 4477 with a 3 month/3000 mile warranty. i felt okay with the purchase price even though i had to pry the warranty out of them. now i see why they were so reluctant. this vehicle had a certified sticker on the windshield and francisco informed me this meant that the vehicle is sent through a complete inspection, and if any thing is found wrong it is fixed. the pick up truck drove pretty much like new. 2 days later i called the dealership to ask if they could fix a few things. they insisted that if it was a warranty issue i should take it directly to the dealership. i then gave them the entire list of things i thought would have been covered in the "pre sale certification process". wiper delay not working, fog lights in operable, a clunk in the transmission when accelerating from a dead stop, the ball hitch was welded in the receiver, cruise control didn't function, and brakes pulsated bad when applied at high speeds (65+ mph). i later found out that the cab leaks when it rains. i thought this was quite a list, and certainly they would have to do something to help me on all these things since they claimed everything checked out? the manager named jauquin spoke to me like he was a politicain skirting the issue, always refering to "sold as is". he provided me with a copy of their certification inspection sheet that sure enough brakes were on there. still no budge. he had decided that he was giving no concessions and i would get nothing from them. i will never buy a used car again without haVING AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC certify all systems check out. they were no help and i will be taking this matter to arbitration. corrupt business practices, terrible customer relations, and dishonesty all emerged in my last transaction with this company.
