About GreggOrange - Male, 45 and Married (Ft Worthless-Cowtown, Tx.)

45 year old suburban ex-punk rock lead singer/guitarist (ever heard of the band Mucous?) turned regular working class vending pro. Weekend barbeque slob and guitar repairman/tinkerer. Where's the Kronenbourg? I also enjoy getting on my stump and badmouthing and/or praising the entertainment media in my spare time. You will never be able to accuse me of having a lack of opinions. You may not agree with me at all but, one of the things that makes this country great is that we can all agree to disagree. Have a nice day!

Favorite Music & Artists:

Sex Pistols Circle Jerks Dead Kennedys Ramones Some Outlaw Country Some Metal Some Weird stuff like Suicide and Coil "Real" blues like Muddy Waters and Elmore James

Favorite Books & Authors:

Admittedly, I don't read much other than cookbooks, guitar manuals, Americana and trivia. Some biographies are fascinating to me, I recently read one about Teddy Roosevelt. By and large I prefer factual stuff over fiction.

Favorite Movies, TV Shows, Stars & Directors:

Walter Matthau said it best before he died that there were 2 types of movies coming out of Hollywood now, good movies and movies that make money. He said that every once in a while a good movie comes out that makes a lot of money, but not very often. John Lydon also said it best when he uttered, "I don't have any heroes...there all useless".

A strongly opinionated music reviewer who never heard a Rush album he didn't want to throw in a wood chipper. Good reading.

Anyone who makes reviews like that of Green Day is obviously a RateItAll legend. Great stuff!

Is thoughtful and funny in all of his reviews, while also communicating a stellar personality. He's especially insightful about music; with good bands, he tells us why he likes them without trying to classicize them. Unlike many other reviewers here, he seems to choose items to review because he's passionate about them one way or another, not just because he wants to get through a list. He's one of the few people whose opinions I can read straight through and enjoy every one of them.

Gregg should be recognized as a pioneer of the early 90's Fort Worth, TX punk rock scene. As the front man for the innovative band Mucous, Gregg was continually pushing the boundaries of ... well ... just about everything. Being raised in the heart of right-wing suburbia provided Gregg with numerous inspirations from homoerotic, date-rape-condoning jock-worship to the American propensity to gorge on refined carbohydrates and red meat. It wasn't always pretty, but it was always brutally honest.
