They are great, and I am glad things worked out for the best. I did add this to my first complaint.

I am glad I went back in to speak with Eddie again. Communication is always the key to a clearing misunderstandings. I am very happy with the outcome of our conversation. Eddie gave a full refund without hestitation, which he said was his intentions in the first place. Eddie offered to replace fix etc. I've decided to continue doing business with Auto-Nology. As a matter of fact, they did some other work on my car and it turned out great. As it is planned now, my car is scheduled to go in again for an air condition issue.

We both got a second chance to talk things over and it work out for the best for both.

With reference to Anology's response. I hold them responsible because they are responsible and must be held accoutable for deceptive practices. Don't be fooled by the "provide its customers with quality, honest and well priced work." That's the story that convinced me when I decided to use them. Good talk, but not to be trusted.

Eddie at Autonology intentionally misrepresented repair work done, intentionally misrepresented the vehicle parts and did not replace any part as promised with the vehicle as agreed. A breach of contract, I contract autonology to replace various old parts with factory parts on the vehicle to eliminate the problems with the breaks. Autonology did not replace agreed upon parts (used aftermarket parts). I made payment as agreed without knowledge of the repair shops deception and misrepresentation.

Autonology used aftermarket parts; of course Eddie said he did not. Why did Eddie shred the new receipt my sister was to pick up, after writing on it he used genuine factory parts, because it would incriminate him.

Why is Eddie now stating he used the word "Original Equipment" vs. genuine Mercedes parts or Factory parts, to cover up the deception. Eddie knew when I said use original Mercedes Benz parts exactly what I meant. As in his presentation, he stated the shop never uses aftermarket parts.

The fact is Auto-Nology knew well what they were installing on my Mercedes; they just never expected I would have the rotors and pads removed and checked by Mercedes. Auto-Nology charged me $414.00 for Mercedes genuine factory parts and installed aftermarket pads and rotors. Eddie still insists he never used aftermarket as I have both as proof.

The first day I was very impress with the repair shop’s presentation. I commended the shop on it cleanliness, friendly atmosphere and the great opening presentation Eddie gave me the first day, and I trusted his statements when he promised quality, honesty and lower prices than the dealer to be true. Standing at the counter, Eddie was really nice. Explained how they never us aftermarket parts. BUT, I am so… DISAPPOINTED; possibly being I am a woman they figure they could get away with the deception and misrepresentation.

Eddie is now trying to protect the companies' image. Portraying me as being a difficult customer, hard to deal with. Eddie is trying to give the impression they’ve tried to work with me. They were going to work with me during the first call, until they found out I had the pads and rotors removed. When they knew I knew what they had done, is begame total different story. I’m now this difficult customer as they would never do such, right! All just a smoke screen to cover-up the truth. The fact is they did do it. They lied and used deceptive practices. Now looking for a way out to keep their good image. They should have thought of this beforehand.

It's all about money, I wonder how many others have they done this to without their knowledge.

I notice another complaint where the customer stated Eddie through in a few extra things… and so I see it's a possible pattern, fix this free and that free and you’ll keep quite. Not this time.

I am wondering… how do you keep up a lie when I have the aftermarket pads and rotor as proof.

On Friday, June 19, 2009, I took my Mercedes Benz to Auto-Nology Motor Service at 10158 S. Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60643 at 773-238-5400.

Auto-Nology Motor Service has a nice clean professional facility, but the service is not as they state. They talk good, put on a good performance, but what are they actually putting on your car. Not the FACTORY dealers’ parts as they so promise… don’t be fooled… Appearances can be deceiving.

Pretending to put on factory parts, charging me for genuine parts, yet I get aftermarket parts. This is Consumer FRAUD… Auto-Nology Motor Service must beheld accountable for their deceptive practices and should not allowed to continue in this manner.

Eddie who claims he is the owner, is not the owner. Mahammad is the owner. Eddie states this was his business (liar). When I got my car back on June 19, 2009, the breaks squeak. Anyone owning a Mercedes knows you must use factory pads and rotors on a Mercedes. Eddie claimed he did, but lied. I took my car to Mercedes to determine why my breaks were squeaking and as I thought, Auto-Nology had put on aftermarket breaks; rear pads and rotors. Eddie swore he used genuine parts pads and rotors and could show me the box they came out of. I asked, Eddie, why would my breaks be squeaking? I don't know he said, it could be that it was a bad batch of breaks, all along knowing what he had done. But of course he never dreamed I would actually have them taken off and checked by Mercedes. I took pictures of the parts Mercedes took off, I wish I could attached them here. The new MB pads/rotors has the Mercedes symbol, the one's Auto-Nology did not. Later I asked Eddie (claiming ownership of the business) to reprint my receipt as to add in writing what he claimed to put on my car, genuine Mercedes parts. When my sister went to pick up the receipt, I was on the phone with Eddie. So he writes on the receipt per my sister, genuine Mercedes Benz pads and rotors. But in sections of speaking with him on the phone, he claimed I sounded upset after I told him I had the breaks taken off and so he shredded the receipt. Why would he shred the receipt? Guility. My sister never got the reprinted copy, she said Eddie told her I sounded to upset and shredded it stating I didn't need it. He knew this would incriminate him, that's why he shredded it.

Later after getting my car back from Mercedes Benz, I went back into Auto-Nology repair shop, but Eddie was out. I asked the gentleman standing at the desk who was the owner of Auto-Nology and he to said Eddie. So all the employees must think Eddie is the owner when in fact city records stated two other names on record. Eddie is listed as Manager. When Eddie calls me, he continued to stick to his story that he installed Mercedes orginial factory parts and if I didn't like it (get this) to take him to court. Ms. J he kept saying... are you done, like I said, if you don't like it take me to court. An owner would not respond or act like this Eddie, I said, so I don't think you are the owner. Take me to court Ms. J. he continues to abrutly state... Eddie stands by that he is the owner, but I found out differently by the City of Chicago website. Liar Liar.

My invoice statement from Mercedes Benz dated 6/25/09 states as follows:
REPLACED AFTERMARKET BRAKES WITH FACTOY MERCEDE BENZ BREAKS. INSTALLED NEW REAR FACTORY BREAK PADS AND ROTORS.

So beware of the polished, well groomed shop. Beware of all the promises on parts. Sounds great when you listening to Eddie give the spill of how they only use genuine dealers parts etc. Later he changed the wording on what he claimed to have said, another sign of guilt. They charged me $414.00 claiming they are cheaper then the dealer, another lie. Maybe sometimes they are, but in this case, the Mercedes replaced the rear pads and rotor and it cost me less. Auto-Nology is a rip off, one way or the other. I have also filed with the Better Business Bureau. And if necessary, I will take them to court. I will file this week if necessary charging them with 3 counts of Consumer Fraud. 1) Breach of Contract 2)Common-Law Fraud and 3)Illinois Consumer Fraud

Consumer Fraud is a crime, I don't think Eddie knows this.
