I was thinking about buying a friends computer but the DVD drive is broken and I wanted to get a quote or at least a price range for fixing it. I emailed them, he emailed back and told me I had to call. I called. No answer. They called me back the next day. I told him the situation and he told me to bring the computer down. I hadn't purchased the computer yet, so I couldn't. He said he couldn't give me a quote over the phone. I asked why. He said, that's the policy. I said I don't understand. He said he didn't either.
I said that he could figure out how much a DVD drive was online right? He says: Yeah if I bought one. I said you know about how long it would take to put it in right? He says up to 5 hours. My friend says it should take less than one hour. I said I would just call somewhere who actually was interested in helping a customer and he said fine and hung up.
I had a pleasurable experience the first time and wanted to be a repeat customer but this guy totally blew it today. I've been here once before and was happy but its a little shady. It is just some dude working out of his house and he bitched about his customers the whole time I was there. I was happy the first time, but I would not recommend using him for anything at this point. Very poor customer service.
Update, I called another store. They gave me a quote in 5 seconds for 1 hour of labor not five
