I like United, they are better than any other US airline that I have experienced. The on-line reservation/check in system is great. There planes are comfortable. Food selection is not bad (or great). First Class is excellent. I choose to fly United whenever I can. Only one bad experience ever & it was a check-in experience at Santa Barbara, CA where the check-in agent was extremely rude.

Terrible airline. Took a flight from BWI to Ontario, CA. Checked in electonically the evening before; arrived 1 hour prior to departure thinking all I had to do was check my bags at the curb & proceed directly to security. Wrong thinking - no curb side check in at BWI, so I proceeded inside to use a kiosk. The line was practically out the door. I am now starting to worry about catching my flight after waiting 15 minutes, the line was going NO where, as the kiosk's were broke. 3 counter attendants for over a hundred people. I walk up to the counter & explain my flight is leaving soon & would it be possible to move up in the line & just check my baggage. I'm told to get in line behind 8 other people going to the same destination. The flight departs at 0729 - it is now 0650....One attendant was taking care of the 8 people. The first 6 people move to the counter - a family of 6 that took over 10 minutes to check in. When I made it to the counter at 0705, I'm informed that check in has closed for that flight & to get into a line for rebooking.

Bottom line - I could have easily made the flight if I could have checked my luggage & proceeded to security by either using a kiosk that worked or curb side check in.

I was rebooked on a 5:00 pm flight and arrived at my destination at midnight with a 2 hour drive to the final destination. Oh and a middle seat to boot. I will NEVER fly Delta again.

Had a recent flight from Ontario, CA to BWI. Checked in the evening before & had boarding number B-58. When I boarded there were several window seats available, As I attempted to sit in the first one, the gentleman in the aisle seat informed me he was saving it for his wife. Okay...move onto the next window seat, of cours it was being saved for someone also. What's the sense of getting a boarding number if people who board before you 'save' the seats for someone with a boarding number that boards after you? The flight attendants told me to find another seat & were not helpful in applying their airline policy.

I don't care for this airline & will avoid them if at all possible.

If you are relocating to Lexington Park or Southern Maryland, I do not recommend Franzen Realty for home rental. The owner, Marv Franzen was the absolute worst landlord I've ever experienced. We did many repairs to the home, fixes & upgrades (landscaping, replaced screen doors, pressure treated the deck, etc.). When we needed his handyman to come out the work was always 'half-ass' and sub-par. Everytime the lease was due to be renewed (every 6 months) -the rent was raised by $100. The well water smelled like rotten eggs & we shared a septic/well with the neighbors, which was unsat, as the well/septic was not adequate for 2 homes. The house was filthy when we moved in; carpet dirty, floors & bathrooms filthy, food/junk in kitchen drawers, fridge, under stove, etc. I spent a week cleaning before I could move any furniture in.
When it came time to move, I cleaned the house spotless. Steam-cleaned the carpets, washed all walls, filled nail holes, replaced screens (original ones were shot), replaced the blinds (they were trashed when we moved in), moved all appliances and cleaned behind them. I mean the place was spotless. Mr. Franzen harrassed & threatened to keep our $1000.00 plus deposit because I didn't have a professional clean the carpet!!!! Thank goodness I had photo's and documentation & letters to him stating the bad state of the house when we moved in. Regardless, I had to fight for 4 months to get our deposit back. Bottom line, don't trust him & don't rent from his company. He's a greedy, nasty, self-rightous rude individual.
