The "Second 'Pute" in my office is an eMachines Monster 500a. Built in 1998, in "Dog" years, it is 77 years old, in 'pute years definitely over 100. Has been "Updated" to Windows 2000 Pro, which is still supported (and slowed the machine down) - 'til early 2010. By modern standards - RUNS SLOW! Nevertheless, it RUNS. I used it for about 6 months as my main office computer after a 2003 DELL Dimension fried its motherboard, my/our fault - didn't diagnose/find/replace a bad cooling fan. Replaced the Dimension with a Studio 540 when the W-7 Free Upgrade became available this summer. The W-7 disc is on its way and will be U/G Installed by 12/01/2009. In the interim, have converted to "Open Document" totally. Have told my "Office" based Lawyers and Accountants to get Open Office or BE GONE. As the Download is FREE - They have done it! FREE is good for me, and THEE as long as it is FREE except time and electricity. The "Little Monster" (500a) - Still runs - Thank You Averratec - the presumed actual manufacturer of this machine. Like Ha-Shem, its Justice is Slow, AND Sure. When I retire it, next year, it will be retired respectfully and become an honored Word Processing Machine. That is all. Dr. Shalit -

Pros- Wireless and setup are great - prints good photos.

Cons- INK HOG

Please look around before purchase. I needed a replacement printer in a hurry, so I bought the C6350 All-in-One at Costco. Cost me $159, not too bad -- However they will GET you with the ink replacements! Had this printer now for about 6 months - replaced black cartridge twice ($24.95 ea) - replaced the others (4 primary photo color cartridges) once now ($39.95 ea). Have only printed 248 pages (can be found by printing a printer status report from the within Setup --> Tools)
We don't do a great deal of photo printing (since I replace an older main home printer) maybe like 5 or 6 photos since we've had it?? I just can't believe it runs out of ink so much (I have a feeling it is intentional...)

Will never buy another HP printer again. Thanks.

Personas used to exist in a previous form called "Themes" though it seems this has become a replacement for that. It has done in more ways than one as Personas will become part of the standard browser as of version 3.6 so it's something more people will have visibility of.

As it currently stands there is a massive library of 34,068 personas on the Mozilla website, but the quality of them varies considerably. What is a real shame is that some of them do look nice, but then aren't usable as they obscure the links in the bookmarks and web developer toolbars I use.

What I like most is that there are some good quality personas, and it's not that hard to create your own either.

I was lucky enough to get this before the price went up. I'd been looking for external disk drive enclosures for a few minutes when I saw this with Thermaltake's name on it, and mostly glowing reviews.

I like how the drive is held in the connector. Its not going anywhere.

I had little bit of trouble getting the last two case screws in, but the trick was squeezing the case a little more. I used a trick I learned in Airframe and PowerPlant school and kept the case screws and internal screws seperate, so I didn't get them mixed up.

The stand seems to be pretty solid. The unit has been sitting on my computer for several weeks, and the cats haven't knocked it over.

I'm glad I got this instead of the Vi-On enclosure.

I have the new Apple iMac 27inch (3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM w/ 1TB HD/ ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with 256MB) and it's just a great desktop computer.

Super, bright, large display! AWESOME graphics! I love it! HD.. Call of Duty 4 works so smooth.. Crazy graphics compared to my old Sony PC..

And yeah. The iMac is just wonderful. Mac OS X Snow Leopard runs so smooth. WAY WAY better than PC. I'm a web designer, and I use Adobe CS4 suite all the time. Photoshop, Illustrator function so much better than on my old PC.

And I have Parallels which gives me Windows on my Mac whenever I need it.

iMac is just great! If you have the money, don't hesitate. It's definitely worth it.

Don't worry about lack of software, there is no such thing anymore. That was old times. Now you can get anything, and I mean there's way better stuff out there for Mac. PC users get a whole bunch of junk trial software. Lol.. Apple is dominating Microsoft.

Anyway.. I don't want to get into the argument Mac vs PC lol, but I'd just like to let you guys know, I DO PREFER the Mac over PC. Definitely.

APPLE = AWESOME! =)
