The picture of the Uggs on here (currently) are those of fake Uggs. If you paid 140.00 for a pair that look like the ones above (with the tag attached like that) than you got ripped off. The issue with Ugg is that there are so many fakes, and other companies are wrongly selling fakes that look collapsed and worn after they are worn in the snow.
The Ugg boots are a fad, but they are good for cold climates. I don't really get the idea of wearing Uggs in the middle of the summer or in hot weather, but if you're comfy than go for it. The boots are a little pricy, but the other styles of their footwear (sandals, slippers, loafers) are of much better quality than the boots, they last longer, less expensive, and have been a longtime favorite for decades.
