This sporting goods item most likely sad to say could not even be sold to kids today in this sad world without litigation probably being involved. I do have very fond memories of it , it was made by a company named SUN RUBBER, out of OHIO, which had been around since the 30's but went out of business, in the mid 70's. I found one dated SUN RUBBER 1969, at a garage sale, a few years ago. The Red-eye playballs we had as kids are long gone, can't say for sure what ever happened to them. The thing was a crazy looking yellow rubber or rubber/vinyl playball , but it was not practical in the sense you could not roll it normally like most playballs , nor really throw it, except by one of the spikes, it could hurt sometimes if you tried to kick the thing, or even play catch with it, though I gather this was the object of the "game" with this thing, it had 6 spikes ,two of which were painted red. I was only a kid around 7 or 8 when this CRAZY item must have been sold, so I do not remember any tv commercials about it , or much else except for we had our mom buy it for us when we first saw the Red-eye at our local toy store, and I also remember seeing it in other kids yards as well. I damn sure remember blasting my brother & sister (younger) with it playing in the back yard, dodgeball was way more painful once we began using the Red-eye! I also remember them hitting me with it and , when fully pumped with air, it was inflatable just like a football, or basketball, the Redeye would hurt definitely. We got one or two stuck in our trees for a long time and I remember our mom buying us more than one of these at the local toy/sporting goods store.

I bought this for the home daycare that my son attends, there are several children around the age of two and the old water/sand table was just too small for them to enjoy. This table is large enough for four children to use and not have a conflict of space. My little one even got in it and sat down and the table didn't budge, didn't sag, didn't fall over.
I would recommend it to anyone who has kids that love water...

We bought this game for my daughter (3) and son (5) for Christmas last year. They really like it and are able to play along. There is some precision that is required. It's a little boring for the adults; however, fun to watch the kids play.

This is my favorite of the Diner Dash game series. I like the additional things that you have to do. It is more fun to have to juggle additional things.

It is actually pretty easy. I was able to get an expert score on all of the levels. In all of the levels the people are served at the counter. As a person earns money he/she gets to purchase additional items to make the customers happier, food to cook faster, even hot sauce for the people to eat faster. You don't have to worry quite as much on this game as compared with the others, where you sit the people (such as a business man next to a cell phone guy, but you still do have to pay attention to that and serve them coffee, etc. Or just wait and not set them next to each other if possible.

I will say this, although this really is my favorite game of the Diner Dash series, I actually went back even after getting expert on every level and perfected it to where I didn't lose any customers either. I was sick with the flu for eight days and didn't have much else to do (just in case you are wondering why I would play a game for so long!). Also, after about the sixth or seventh level of each restaurant (or sooner) I would run out of items to purchase and just accumulated money.

This isn't a big deal to me, but my daughter enjoys changing Flo's clothing and on this game you don't get to choose the clothes she wears. That is not an issue for me but I thought I would mention it in case it is important to someone else.
