Love their clothing (although I thought this store was closed).
I did have a dreadful experience at the old Fitigues in Hinsdale a couple of years ago which I will never forget. They were having a warehouse sale and had the sale clothing on long wooden tables. As I walked past the table checking out the clothes, a large bent nail tore my pants. This is a 3-4" nail that wasn't sticking out straight but was diagonally positioned. I wasn't hurt but my pants were torn, about a one inch tear. When I told the manager, a young dark-haired woman, she was angry with me. I even showed her the very obvious nail. Nothing. She refused to have my pants repaired and was most unkind. I couldn't believe it.
Weeks later I visited the Chicago store and decided since I was there to tell one of their customer reps what had happened. The person I told said my experience was unfortunate and took my information, saying someone from Fitigues would call me. I never heard from anyone.
So if this company, whose clothing I loved and purchased from the moment they came on the market, folded, I'd say that's karma. : (
