I am not sure if Cook Out is anywhere else but North Carolina, but it is probably the greatest fast food chain ever created. The one listed is in Durham, but there are other locations dotted throughout NC. The greatest deal is the Cook Out Tray, which is best if you get it with a big double, fries, corn dog, and a Cheerwine. The shakes are amazing too, but the burgers, cooked open-flame style, are what makes the dining experience. If you can imagine making burgers on your outdoor grill, but not burning them to oblivion and keeping a lot of the grease intact, then you've got Cook Out burgers. And if you get it cheddar-style (my personal favorite), which comes with bacon, grilled onions, and cheddar sauce in addition to the cheese slices, it will send you to heaven. The red neon lights, walk-up or drive-thru options only, and the 90s look to it, theres so much to love about Cook Out.
