This was long ago and maybe Susan has gotten better at her trade since this incident, but I took a wild cat to her that was just starting to become tame because I could tell the cat had something wrong and was really tender about her tail. In Susan's desire to jam a thermometer up her bottom she grabbed the base of her tail really hard, the cat was screaming but she kept at it. It turned out the cat had a giant abscess right where she was grabbing it...she never found it and kept the cat overnight and returned to us without having a clue what was wrong. The cat ran away the next day....I can't blame her...she was traumatized and just starting to figure out how to trust humans.
Also i brought a beloved cat to her and she operated on the wrong leg....It sounds like an urban legend but alas it isn't. I'm glad there's rating places like this around to warn people of the amazing variation between veterianarians abilities. I personally like to take my animals, if they're really sick, to Conifer Colorado to this guy who does acupuncture, Dr. Gurney...he's amazing!
