Definitely getting darker in the series and more adult. I'd say that these books are still decent for children to read, but there may be a few scary parts. That being said, adults should love this book! The Order of the Phoenix adds a definite adventure element in to the story. Harry does get a bit angsty though so be warned.

We get to see a new side of Pern here. McCaffrey carries us into her world and pulls us along on the coat tails of a wonderful adrenaline ride. I love McCaffrey's dragons and we definitely get a fantastic dose of them and the firelizards here.

We're off to see the Wizard... Love the book! Love the movie! Not sure which is better, but I know that I love them both. I recommend this book to every age group. I think there is enough in here that both adults and children will find it fascinating. A true classic and one that should remain on the bookshelf for years to come.

I just love this book. It has a wonderful message and always stuck with me. I read this book so many times that my copy no longer has the cover. I'm sure it's around though. I recommend this for all age groups, especially older elementary readers. Adults will find it fulfilling as well.

Another great book, destined to help teach your children words. These books are great for children to be able to pick up words out of the page. The rhymes are easy to remember and aid them in word recognition. Not to mention that the story is very cute and one that almost everyone knows. I highly recommend it.

Great book! Any lover of McCaffrey will love this one! With firelizards and dragons, both completely devoted to those they've impressed upon, this is a great magical escape for everyone. I love this as a vacation book. It's help with utter relaxation. I recommend it for all ages.

A fun classic. Teaches great words and the flow of the voice. My mom used this book to teach me how to recite rhymes. Also works well with teaching colors. Great for every child.

Fantastic book - I loved it much more than the movie. Definitely dark so perhaps not the best book for the faint of heart, but it definitely leaves you thinking. I would recommend this book for older readers.
