Perhaps one of his friends or neighbors will take pity on this guy and explain that calling names is an admission of defeat?

First of all, I think that some of the previous reviews are absolutely ridiculous. I personally received great service from DeVry throughout both my Bachelor's and Master's programs, and the knowledge and skills gained in my courses is invaluable. My degrees have been very highly regarded by employers, and have allowed me to advance to an executive level management position at a top financial company. I couldn't be any happier with the education and service I received from DeVry. I did not experience any issues with financial aid...perhaps because I followed instructions and did what I needed to on my part to ensure that I was requesting the appropriate amount of aide and that everything was set for it to disperse. I think that the students who are complaining here in these posts are trying to blame the school for their lack of effort in courses, or their own mistakes in regards to paying tuition, requesting financial aid, tuition reimbursement, etc. because they don't want to take responsibility for their own actions. This is college, not kindergarten. You can't expect them to hold your hand through every little process.

I would highly recommend DeVry University to anyone who is looking for a credible, well-rounded education that helps to develop the skills and experience necessary to be successful in one's career. I currently work in executive management at a top financial company and we are always looking for DeVry and Keller Graduates because they have far more to offer than graduates from other more "traditional" schools. We recently interviewed for an high level management position and ended up choosing the candidate who had earned their MBA from DeVry's Keller Graduate School of Management over the other candidates with degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, DePaul University, Northwestern University, and University of Wisconsin- Madison. At the end of the day, the Keller graduate just had far more to offer in regards to skills and practical experience because of Keller's unique approach to teaching.

I think the likelyhood of this one coming to fruition increases as each home adds another highspeed internet hook-up to it's phone and cable bill. Future generations of educators and television writers will regularly write articles in magazines bemoaning North America's increasing rates of television illiteracy. Unfortunately no one will read those magazines.

I'll bet you if the did give enryone the day off for National Book and Reading Day there would be a measureable increase in attendance at the local multi-plex.

If I could give Comcast less than 1 star, I would. Where to even start? First problem was that our internet service would go out every other day. Comcast would come and claim to have fixed the problem, and then it would go out again later that day. We would call again and learn (again) that they wouldn't be able to make it out for another few days. After over a month, they finally figured out that their cable lines had gone bad and replaced them. After they fixed the lines, our internet worked, but was slower than a wireless connection and would still intermittently go out for 15-minute spans every other hour. Then there's the issue of Comcast's customer service- or lack there-of: rude, slow, incompetent, and complacent. They seem to care less whether they fix the problem or not. The least amount of time I was ever on hold was about half an hour, and they always claim that there's "nothing they can really do" and try to pass off the responsibility for the problem onto the customer. I have probably spent close to 10 hours in the last year on hold for Comcast customer service, often only to get cut off (especially when I to speak to a manager.) Going into the office is no better. One month I paid my bill in cash at the office only to learn that they never posted it and had no record of the transaction. Because I had not kept my reciept, I was forced to pay the bill again, with a late fee. Shortly thereafter, frustrated with Comcast, I shut off my service. I brought all my equipment back, paid the remainder of my bill, and asked if there was anything else I needed to do to get my service shut off. They told me that I was good to go, that I had returned all the equipment they had on file, that I had a $0 balance, and that my service would be disconnected on the requested date. Two months later, I discover a bill from comcast for two months of service and late fees. I called (was put on hold, of course) and finally spoke to somebody who said that now I had a modem on my account that I had never returned (by the way, I never received a modem from Comcast and have always used my own) and that the service had not been disconnected and that I had been billed for the last two months (even though I've been living on the opposite side of the country.) The woman on the line finally said that she'd take the modem off our account, put the disconnect in, and that we were being refunded $40 for some reason (I guess they had over-charged us for something. Big surprise.) One month later (today) I discover another bill from Comcast (SHOCKER!) I called, was put on hold, waited half an hour, was called a liar when I told them I never received a modem, asked to speak to a manager, and was finally told that the manager would call me back (I've been told this by Comcast before and have never been called back.) Comcast is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I will absolutely NEVER do business with them again!!!

I can't say I blame her. Shes was absolutely destroyed ever since she entered the 08 election. The off color David Letterman rape joke about her daughter was barely a month ago. Im sure that was one of the final breaking points, so I kinda saw this coming.

Let's not pretend that we really care about stone-age tribes that our ancestors wiped off the face of the earth in a cold-yet-efficient post-Enlightenment era of intellectual compartmentalization. A day late and a dollar short for feeling guilty. . .

What other stone-age tribes should get holidays? Where does that end? "Aztec Weekend"?

Unfortunately, nearly everyone on the "far left", "near left", "middle left", "middle right", "near right" - and even the more astute on the "far right" - figured out she is ridiculous.

However, that doesn't necessarily mean it's impossible for her to become president.

Think, "W".

In the '60s, all sorts of great music became popular.

By the '70s, the suits were back in control, and the best music was once again relegated to the underground.

Note: In both cases there are a few exceptions to this overgeneralization.

This shouldn't leave any doubt about her political aspirations! Normally politicians wait to serve out their full term before resigning to run for higher office. Sometimes they even stay in office while running. She decided to leave early; no doubt so she could leave out on top.

It strikes me as an imprudent move, given her weak credentials, but she's probably weighing other considerations in mind.

The budget situation in Alaska has deteriorated and ethics violations continue to pound her. Doing this allows her to focus more on political networking and fundraising in the lower 48 without having to worry about those distractions.

Palin is clearly going all in for a run. Perhaps she sees other candidates like Romney laying out the groundwork for a run and doesn't want to get behind. It's been only 8 months since the last election and already the players are lining up.

What surprised me was that she didn't serve out her term. I fully expected her not to run for a 2nd term, as it was very obvious that she was planning on running for President. Can she succeed? She struck me as a engaging politician with a lightweight policy record. Extra time in lower office would benefit her. But she seems to think otherwise.

Campaign 2012 is already heating up, and it's only Summer 2009.

UPDATE: New bits of information are now coming out. Apparently she claimed that the Governor job was becoming a heavy burden. Just my thought...if the Gov job is too overwhelming for her, I'm not too sure that she'll be able to handle the pressures and scrutiny of the Presidency. If she continues to hark on this, this might just damage her national prospects irrevocably. She's delusional if she thinks she can handle the national spotlight.

I'm sure the budget and ethics problems weighed on her, but as they say..."when the going gets tough, the tough get going".

I was most recently a customer with AxisHost for many years. But eventually, I discovered all my bandwidth allotment was being eaten up by Asian sites whose IP addresses should have been more closely monitored through their Firewalls. I decided to leave Axist Host, the beginning of June 2009. They cancelled my account, effective June 23, 2009 and still submitted an invoice for July's monthly premium and received the money for July's premium via PayPal. I exchanged emails with Tina Peters, the Pres of Axishost who claims she is rightfully entitled to the monies. There are tons of Web Hosting Companies out there, including. Microsoft, who will host your doamin for free. This company and this woman who heads it is a disgrace and an embarrassment. Complaints have been lodged with the State Attorney General's Office of Michigan as well as the BBB who handles the Grand Rapids area. By the way, Axishost does have an F rating with the BBB. Do yourself a favor, STAY AWAY from Axishost! They're bad news. And, I do agree with one of the other reviewers, Tina Peters is a nasty miserable person who has no clue what a customer is nor how to communicate with one.

Great idea. Far too progressive for present day America.

England put Darwin on their currency- a real hero and scientific innovator whose discoveries are more revolutionary because they went against his original theory. He went where the evidence took him.

America dismisses science when it tells us inconvenient facts. Celebrating science is celebrating a process of discovery that shatters and modifies our preconceived notions and ideas. . .we just like being comfortable too much.

Yes, I think this is a great idea. I think that on just one day each year, TV watchers all over the world should honor their TV's by dressing them up with little hats, sweaters or t-shirts...oh hell, go crazy...wrap a boa around them...give 'em elephant or bunny ears...and tape a picture of Chalky Studebaker to the screen. Then, pull them around the neighborhood in Little Red Wagons to show your pride. To make it a real holiday, you would stop at every house along the way, where shots and beer chasers would be handed out for free.

Of course, this will spawn a "Radio Pride Day", an "iTunes Pride Day", a "Shortwave Radio Pride Day" and a "Yelling Across the Neighborhood to Let Everyone Know that Michael Jackson has Passed Away Because Your TV's are Unplugged Pride Day", which will go on indefinitely...
