Tried it! It would be better if the guns didn't look like shit and if the players weren't all long haired skater punks. Try airsoft it's just like paintball only no retards.

I'll give this the nod but only if it's about the strategy and tactics. No fancy homo guns, just the old fashioned CO2 container powered ones. Half the paintball games I've seen are stupid, unrealistic OK corral showdown type shootouts. Those losers would cry if a real gun was fired near them. As long as it were to stay away from that crap, it might work.

I am a seasoned paintball veteran and I have to say this would be interesting. Unfortunately, the only type of paintball match that would be compatible with the fast-paced, graphics-heavy format of the Olympic media juggernaut would be speedball. For those green on the subject, speedball can be summed up in three words: spray and pray. Run up to that bunker, vomit out 100 or so rounds, hit nothing, reload, run to the next bunker, puke up another 200 shots, run to next bunker, catch 60 rounds with your face, game over. Speedball involves a minimum of strategy. There certainly is strategy involved, but nothing like that involved in woodsball, where my cohorts and I dwell. Woodsball is more of a military simulation than it is a stylized suicide mission. Out of our core group, I'm the only civilian, playing against Marines, Army Rangers, National Guardsmen, and Airborne soldiers. I've learned alot from these guys in the ways of tactical movement and communication. Camouflage, flanking maneuvers, sniping, and even radio contact are major elements of our games. If this could be assimilated into the Olympic repertoire, I'd tryout today. I'll blast anybody, and they'll never see it coming.

I think it should. If it is, that'll be mind blowing.
