Scam
I got caught in the SureTrade scam ,they sold my stocks closed the acct.,then closed the doors, and left customers standing, with worthless paper.

I, too, was an 'acquired customer' when Q&R bought my broker, and immediately jacked up transfer-out fees and trade commissions. Now there's a $25 quarterly fee? I've not even been informed! I'll be following the lead of these others and transfering out - and then I'll be looking to sell short on Q&R, because scamming clients only boosts profits while you have clients.

I am reporting them to the Securities Comm. Lost Over $2000. in 3 months. I am having a big run-arund trying to obtain a close out of my accounts. Sent proper forms etc. They will also be rported to the BBB. False promises and noted harrassment-prior to my error in judgement. They scamed me into thinking they had the rights to my account.

I have an IRA & MF with them. I lost heavily on my IRA, besides 25$ fee every quarter. I finally decided to move my IRA out. It took me more than a month to get the money out. I sold my MF. When I called for the check after a week I go the reply stating that they were in the process of finding my bank account to transfer the funds. I have no bank account with them, whatsoever. According to me they are big rip off. Stay away from them.

I received a letter stating that a charge of $100 a year would be for the one stock I owned. I left several telephone messages to cancel my account . I have never received a callback. All I receive is form letters not addressing the issue and threats to sell my stock for there fees.

I to got suckered with the $25/quarter fee. But thats not all. They are also charging $50 for each transfer out of the account! and also $50 to terminate the account. And I never ever signed an agreement with them, but was acquired from a buyout. STAY AWAY FROM QUICK & REILLY!

"Effective 12-31-2002, Clients...who maintain a balance of less than 25,000 will be charged a $25 per quarter fee." After 15 years, loyal customer through bust and boom, and several dollars short of 25k, I'm being charged a penalty! YOU SUCK, Mr. Reilly. Quick as I can, I'm fleeing with my Transfer Form and quickly depositing to a less, money-sucking broker.
