Awesome architectural design and some funky artsy stuff inside.

The Pompidou is a fantastic place to visit - even if you don't go inside. There's usually loads of people hanging about outside, musicians, artists and families. Nearby is some fantastic handmade fountains that are vibrant and very original. The actual centre is a piece of artwork itself and is a must-see when you go to Paris.

If you love Modern art this is the place. The arcitecture of Pompidou is strange (outside in feeling).

A spring day just in front of Centre Pompidou is incredible..to sit and watch the people passing by, the artist perform, and the streetsellers. Inside the centre Pompidou contains art and design which inspires creativity.

So they make this hole in the ground in Paris and build a museum of modern art. Thoroughly dislike it. Sticks out like a sore thumb. Wins my prize for "Fits in least with environment".

Magic surrounding atmosphere, right in the center of Paris! Interesting architecture (although still controversial today, after so many years of being built). I loved the fact that you could visit the library for free without being registered or anything like that! (or did I have a student pass at that time? Not exactly sure but check it out!) The famous multi-colored fountain next to the museum is also a must see for Paris (along with a trillion other things!)

The most enjoyable art collection I saw in Europe. Great modern art especially pre 1950. The building is a trip too.

Centre Georges Pompidou is a great place, especially for younger travelers. The modern art museum there is great. The architecture is very hip. The free outdoor street performers are wonderful.
