Evidently Jethro was an instrument in God's hand to slowly mold Moses into what He wanted him to be. As such, Jethro was an important factor in helping Moses become the leader of Israel for the difficult task of liberating her from the clutches of the Pharaoh and take them for 40 years through the desert until reaching the Promise Land.

My favourite line of all time is when Jed says to Jethro, "You're so dumb, you couldn't pour sand out of a boot if the instructions was written on the bottom".

Oh, wait, I thought this was a list of Favourite Beverly Hillbillies Characters. Sorry.
