Good listing.  I don't always agree with Ebert but found his show in the 80's and 90's endearing and his online reviews worthy of notice.  Solid if unspectacular reviewer.

I watched Ebert when he was with Siskel religiously at the end of the 1970's when they were on PBS and after they moved to commercial television. I always enjoyed their point, counterpoint, and I always respected Ebert as well as Siskel, even when I didn't agree. I wish Ebert was back on the tube.

One of the few I'm aware of to ever win the Pulitzer Prize. Ironically, he also wrote the screenplay for the atrocious Russ Meyer film, "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls". Was also to write a screenplay with Russ Meyer in collaboration with the Sex Pistols before that fell apart. I often disagree with Ebert, and yet, besides being highly intelligent, witty and articulate, he's got a great passion for film (as attested to by some of his exchanges with long-time associate Gene Siskel that were extremely heated and acrimonious) and great heart. I miss him on the TV, hope his health is improving, and wish him all the best.
