 | LadyJesusFan777 (38) 09/20/2008 | Mickey is one of my favorite Disney characters. And since he's the icon of Disney, I think that's a good enough reason.

 | HistoryFan (102) 11/01/2005 | He is a cultural icon and a funny cartoon character but he lacks the charisma and the personality of Bugs Bunny, hence the 4 star rating.

 | numbah16tdhaha (161) 09/19/2005 | I don't care for Mickey, but brownie has puzzled me and I must express this. You say he converted. Are you talking to color, the gradual change in his appearance over the years, or my highly unlikely idea that Mickey had some kind of religious expirience? If its the last one (a pretty stupid idea on my part) I hope that Mickey didn't become Jewish, because Walt Disney had some major anti-semetic views!

 | Daccory (15) 10/30/2004 | Truly the most boring of the lot. Yet the first and most famous. Odd.

 | Jamie McBain (53) 06/07/2004 | He's pretty good, but lacks the wit and humor of Bugs Bunny.

 | CherrySoda99 (31) 03/26/2004 | To tell you the truth, Mickey scares me. He's always so happy, and cheerful, not to mention, he hasn't married Minnie yet, and they've been together for like how long?

 | VirileVagabond (38) 01/27/2004 | It is difficult to either like or dislike Mickey Mouse as he essentially has no personality. Though Mickey became a national icon, so did Elsie the cow, and longevity simply does not always equate to excellence, complexity and originality. Other Disney characters, namely Donald Duck, spoke much more to the human condition than Mickey ever did.

 | Invisible (0) 12/23/2003 | Mickey is probably my favorite classic cartoon character of all time! I also believe that he was the first cartoon character I've ever seen as a child, before Bugs or Winnie the Pooh. I've had a special place in my heart for this great mouse! OK, not in my heart but in my brain. He's had bigger sucess then his friends can ever dream of! I find it hard to believe that people don't like Mickey!

 | LadyShark4534 (12) 09/20/2003 | Read the three comments by President X-D, alfachimp, and VirileVagabond.
I couldn't have said it better.
So here goes my rant which is not much compared to theirs: I'd rather have bamboo shoots be stuffed in my ass, be tied to a chair, be proddled with stun guns than go to Disneyworld!

 | Vudija (100) 04/29/2003 | Mickey is by far the most famous of the classic cartoon characters. He is absolutely adorable. He will probably never be forgotten, but maybe that's because of Disney World themeparks, that won't let people forget. I would never forget this cartoon even if there wasn't Disney Themeparks, but that's just me.

 | typhoon (0) 08/07/2002 | Mickey is so cool how could you not love him. I still love watching him. I have watched him ever since i was a little kid and i still watch him sometimes. He is a funny-serious kind of mouse. he can be really funny but he can also be really serious if necessary so i think that it is because a cartoon mouse is so fun is why i really enjoy Mickey mouse. How could you not love and be addicted to the cute little mouse. He is absolutely irrisitable. And i am defianaatly not kidding!!!

 | swenocha (0) 05/18/2001 | The classic cartoon character and corporate logo. Less attitude than Daffy, Bugs, or Donald, but still there is much classic work. And besides, what other character has Walt under his voice credits?

 | Frank15 (0) 05/14/2001 | I will never get why he's, supposedly, more famous than Bugs Bunny. He's just a mindless happy cartoon character, who gets into trouble somehow a lot. Wiggum, you make a good question, why give Mickey his own club but not Bugs?
(3 voted this helpful, 0 funny and 0 agree) |
 | Wiggum (17) 05/13/2001 | I just don't get the appeal of Mickey Mouse. To me he doesn't seem to have much of a personality at all. Does his mood ever change? He's too peppy and happy all the time. The idea of building a club around this mouse makes no sense to me at all. Why not a Bugs Bunny club? At least Bugs has a personality.

 | CastleBee (88) 05/09/2001 | I can't find it in my heart not to love Mickey. How many generations have grown up with the little mouse that launched an empire? He's even managed to outlive his own creator by about 35 years so far - what stamina! Yes, he's been way over exposed, over used, and probably even exploited over the years. But through it all, he has remained the same, unassuming soft-spoken little guy. As for his work, well, maybe people thought differently back when he debuted in "Steamboat Willy", but I have always felt that his strong point was in the realm of cute rather than funny. His best and strongest role was arguably as the sorcerer's apprentice in "Fantasia" so; I am left with the impression that he is actually more of a serious actor than a comedian anyway. This seemed to hold true as his career quickly led him from humble beginnings to the no doubt coveted (most likely by the perpetually irritated likes of one Donald Duck) position as representative of the Disney Empire. Whatever you may think of Mickey, you can't deny that this little mouse has become an American icon the like of which is rarely seen.

 | DirtDauber (0) 05/02/2001 | Believe it or not I have to give Mickey a 3. He lost his cartoon status when he went free agent and starting doing major motion picture work. Good talent though.
