Santa Cruz is my hometown, so I support it. Boards have a good "pop" and they're made local. You can't go wrong.

Santa Cruz is really popular in the Bay Area and I try to support it because I go to school at San Jose state. I don't really like Santa Cruz designs. Some of them are really great, but it seems to me that they don't carry enough products for girls which in turn is very disappointing.

PowerPly is an Excellent beginner board! Skinny and light, great for learning flip tricks..easy to control. Definitely recommended for the novice skateboarder!
