Actually, it sucked, but I'm out of army men...

Not to speak ill of the dead, but was there ever a more sensitive and less manly hunk of beefcake than Patrick Swayze? And Demi Moore even keeps her clothes on in this film. Man were we that hard up for entertainment in the 80's?

'Sign the check, Rita Miller.' God, this was a bad movie. Again, another thing that I had to watch because of the older sister.

have not seen all of Patrick Swayze's movies. Ghost is my favorite of his movies. this had comedy, drama, romance, and thriller all in one and worked! he was good as Sam Wheat the man killed fighting a mugger. { he was not supposed to die but he fought the mugger and was shot} Sam stays behind on earth to protect Molly and find out what happened. he goes to Whoopi Goldberg's character who is a a con artist claiming she can connect with the dead. turns out to her surprise she can actually hear Sam he finally gets her to help him after singing "i'm henry the 8th I am over and over" very funny scenes with Whoopi and Patrick. Demi does a fine job too. love this movie. sorry to read Patrick lost his battle with cancer. may he rest in peace. hope he "takes his love with him"

Yeah - it's a chick flick...not that there's anything WRONG with that. Guys - the next time it runs and your wife, girlfriend or mom want to watch - go play with your little plastic army men for awhile and chill. No, it was not great art but it WAS entertaining. Woopie was hilarious, Demi Moore cried convincingly, and Swayze was at his peak and did an excellent job bringing both strength and vulnerability to the role. My favorite part is the last scene when he realizes it's time to move on. I'm sure many people were thinking of that scene when he passed on a few days ago. I hope that he found peace and took the love with him.

This is the only Patrick Swayze film I've ever seen (apparently he was in Donnie Darko though?), it wasn't that bad but I've seen better. I think what I liked about this film was actually Whoopi Goldberg's role in it as a medium who acts as a go-between for him and Demi Moore. I think watching it once was enough, not again. I guess there are people that really like this film though, I know my mum really likes this one, but I just find it cheesy. I'd much rather watch a film that makes me think.

My ex-wife dragged me to this when it came out. I barely stayed awake, although she seemed to enjoy it.
