Tasmania is a (relatively) small island near Australia. I like the character, but he always struck me as more of a "Early 1980's Charlestown guy on Angel Dust Devil" than a native of Tasmania.

Not the smartest but one of the most entertaining character. Turkey surprise anyone?

Pretty tough on the furniture and not much of a conversationalist, but fun to have around.

Another great WB cartoon character. The best were the early original cartoons. The later made-for-tv cartoons were less enjoyable.

Taz is one of my favorite looney tunes characters. Taz is always spinning around through trees and trying to go after Bugs.

The Cardinals should sign this guy...

He's gotta lay off the cocaine. There are support groups available, buddy.

The best of the Warner Brothers characters. A favorite of little kids.

i never saw much purpose in this character except as an easy target for Bugs Bunny. i know in the 1990's a lot of chicks liked to wear clothes with Taz and Marvin the Martian(another waste), but i never saw a reason for him.

For those Harry Potter fans who know what a niffler is... Taz is one, only he isn't useful for anything but laughs.

Taz is a one Tasmanian Devil wrecking machine!
VirileVagabond 01/25/2004
While the Tasmanian Devil was a fun cartoon character, I have never understood the fanaticism. The character only appeared in approximately 5 original shorts which is a difficult handicap to overcome and achieve greatness. Moreover, with such limited exposure, there was no real character development over time. While there is nothing wrong with the character, the Tasmanian Devil must suffer by comparison with most of the others on this list.

awsome

I would have to say that Taz is my favorite Looney Tunes character. He is absolutely funny and extremely cute. If it were up to me, Taz would be more remembered than Bugs Bunny, but since he never really got the chance to be the main character, he is stuck behind Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny. Either way, he is still a great cartoon character.

the tasmainian devil is okay i don't like how he talks and tears everything up though it gets kinda irritating
Molfan 05/29/2002
The destructive little "devil" who does not talk but makes blubbering sounds. He can go into a spin a go right through trees, and anything else who gets in his way. he is always slobbering and wanting something to eat. I do not think he has any pals only enemies who get in his way. yet he is one of the more popular cartoon characters.a different but likable character.

Taz is my all-time favorite Looney Tune character. He was in a lot of cartoons with Bugs Bunny. He always tries to eat Bugs, but Bugs always finds a way to fool him. He is also the funniest character. he always spins through Trees and snarling.
Frank15 05/14/2001
Someone please tell me why Taz here seems to have this cult-like following? He eats... and he destroys... and me makes lots of weird noises. That's really all there is to Taz. While he's certainly OK in small doses, this is NOT a character I want to see over, and over, and over again.
DirtDauber 05/02/2001
The wild man from Tasmania. With reckless abandonment, he swirls into, onto, and through anything never quenching his insatiable appetite for food and destruction
