I feel terrible and sorry for going with Hercules moving for moving my stuff from Chicago to Irvine. Truck arrived on Sunday Aug 31st morning at 10:00am with no men other than driver to unload and unpack. One cannot guess the mental agony and frustration that we have gone through because of the service and nature of the driver that we have experienced first hand especially on the day of my brother's wedding.

I am feel I am a victim today and I do not suggest to go with Hercules Van lines...

The driver by name Guy was very hostile and unfriendly, very rude and unprofessional. I paid the amount due which is $2020 and then the driver started unloading from the truck, when I asked for the men to unload, he said that they will be arriving soon and 15 min. later he said that they are not.


1. Driver did not gave the receipt for the cash in the amount of $2020.
2. 5 Boxes were missing from the overall 50 items. (It includes an expensive Glass vase from Waterford in the Correlle box)
3. I had to call my guests arrived for wedding to lift my stuff and place them all inside apartment.
4. Driver was unloading the suitcase that do not belong to us and couple of other boxes.
5. I had to be at home today to unpack and throw all the packing materials by myself. (I have no idea how to unpack Plasma TV crating)

My problem with Hercules Moving Systems all started when I changed the date of my pickup from the original date of 7/11/08 to 7/15/08. I was told that because of the date I wanted my things to arrive wasn't until the 1st of August it would be better to change the date of my pickup to the 15th of July so that my things would arrive either on the 1st of Aug or within that first week. My move was from California to Georgia. I was given the standard time frame of 7-16 business days as well. Also being informed that it doesn't take that long. So do to that I was under the impression that my things would arrive within a reasonable time. I called Hercules Moving Systems on 7/31/08 and was told that my things were sitting in the Bay Area Storage facility and that they were waiting on the truck to come and pick them up on 8/1/08. I was told then that my things would be here within 5 to 7 days of the 1st. It's now the 8th and I called them today and yet again was told that my things are still in storage and they are waiting on a truck that should be there in the next few days to ship my things Southeast. I asked if they could give me an actual date the the truck would be arriving and was told no. I was told that once my things were picked up that it would take 7-10 days for my things to get here. I was told that they are very busy this time of year. Which I think is an excuse. They do not followup with the status on your things or your move. This is totally bad customer service. As of August 15th Hercules Moving Systems will have had my things for an entire month. This is totally unexpectable.

If you ever need to move and it requires a moving company Hercules Moving Systems should not ever be a choice.

At first Hercules Moving Systems appeared to be a great company. I did my research and they had decent reviews. The problems all started when the movers came to get my things. First, on the day of pick-up they arrived 4 hours late. My move was from California to Virginia and I was given a large time frame of 7-16 business days for delivery. I was promised however that the time frame was only a formality and I should get my things in Virginia no later than 2 weeks. It took them 2.5 weeks just to get my things on a truck that headed East. I would call the dispatcher's office everyday and was told a new story each time. I kept being told my things are coming only for them not to arrive. It has been a month since I have seen my boxes/furniture and still have no idea when I will see them again.

If you actually want your things to arrive within a resonable time frame and you don't want to hear never-ending excuses, then definately do not use Hercules Moving Systems.
