I really hate Will Ferrell.  I like John Reilly.  I rented this with great trepidation, fearing the worst. 

Well, it isn't bad, for a bunch of jerkoff jokes. Reilly is pretty good, and Ferrell isn't absurdly annoying.  I laughed out loud a few times, felt like a dumbass teenager, and took the movie back, never to be seen again.

Step Brothers is a raunchy comedy filled with laughs and plenty of masturbation jokes. Ferrell and Reilly really capture what its like to be a teenage slacker, although they are about 20 years too late. The movie had me and my wife laughing throughout, and even my conservative mother laughed a lot and admitted it was funny. Its sex humor and filthy language should turn some people off, but you would have to be a real tightass to make it through this film without a few good laughs. For a Ferrell fan, this is a must see comedy.
